P-bodyAustinNI'm literally saying in chat to mute Kaper and tell the enemies that he does not speak on behalf of our team?? Are you expecting the admin in our team to visit Kaper and unplug his keyboard? I also stream our games so feel free to go witch hunt through those vod's!
Oh no, you poor soul. Just stuck playing TF2 with some abhorrent idiot posting slurs in the chat. You can literally do nothing about it but ask the other team to politely ignore him. It's literally impossible for you to, I don't know, kick him off your team or report him to the admins after witnessing multiple cases of offensive language.

Idk, reporting your own teammates for saying dumb stuff sounds like a real bitch move tbh.

it's not so much about what was said as it is the double standard since others have been banned for this stuff in the past. It raises questions like should those people have been banned if the admins clearly have no issue with slurs? can they expect professional behaviour in applications to their staff if they don't act professionally?

I also always save logs and take screenshots when I see someone say a bad word in a scrim, or on a stream of a scrim im watching. I have a functioning frontal lobe, a lot of friends, and a big penis. So glad to have the dutch Stasi making sure everybody is safe from mean words.

i'm probably wasting my time trying to explain this to you but as i said for me at least its actually nothing to do with the words used - just that the admins don't seem to have a consistent position on this issue and that's something that needs to be addressed.

Alright, I'm not trying to judge too much here but I guess the difference between this case and the Pred/degu incident could be that the "joke" here wasn't aimed at a specific person to directly herass them like it was in the uberchain case and that this might be a reason why the admins don't consider this as banworthy right away. I am not claiming that any of those incidents were handled perfectly btw.

Nonetheless I think this is unprofessional and stupid behaviour, especially as an admin who should be trustworthy and I hope ETF2L will draw consequences, finally publish clear and consistent rules and makes sure that this is not acceptable for a representative of this league and scene.

should've stayed that way tbh

I think he means the fact that there's been a cheater and I know that others are accusing others of it too. Point is that the first FM cup was a lot more successful.

Tough to say at that level, especially given there can be people familiar with 6s but not in a league team environment with huge advantages. Ombra from the first FM cup was accused afaik.

Could also be completely misunderstanding him and he is hella stupid like u say but ye.

I don't know what you mean with rewards, but we got $180 for playing the first FM cup. The prizes were way better the first time

Aoshihamahamlolol one mentioned reason why my AC admin application was denied was because i "seemingly have a bit of an unproffessional attitude according to people, such as falling drunkenly asleep at cphg" and while i'm not mad that i got rejected i find it a bit funny how they'll defend AustinN having his team spell out n word in this fresh meat cup
Yes, the lesser of all reasons.
Your application was poorly written. To put in perspective we've had applications from 13 year olds that were better . You mentioned that you have no AC experience in TF2 and your only other reference was that you where "great at catching" cheaters in minecraft.

A note that I mentioned to you in case you wanted to re-apply with a better written application was that people see you in an immature light. This because of your childish application as well as the way you handled yourself at cphg. You ran around drunk most, if not all, evenings at cphg going as far as falling drunken asleep on the floor in front of the main stage and having people take care of your drunken ass. This obviously doesn't leave a good impression.

ham did fucking what

"There will be a zero tolerance policy towards those who try to bypass the eligibility rules through means such as using alternative accounts or attempted fraud and those who do attempt this will be punished with lengthy bans and see their teams disqualified from the tournament." - yea sure zero tolerance Digital Warfare Juniors were caught twice and still able to play

Holy moly, how the hell this got so far. It supposed to be a thread about FM cup and poorly prepared rules about skill restrictions but rn it's poiting out mistakes of league admins. What the fuck.

Some rules are not respected by admins, so it is a logical sequence

They are or not, not my business, but still thread wasn't made about that but about poorly made skill restriction rule that ended up making some of the players that took a part of fm cup feel mislead and deceived.

Anyway, it went so far already so there's no point of doing anything about that, lulz. Hope this drama will end soon and conclusions will be drawn.

yanno what im gonna go ahead, take the bait, and take the extremely controversial position (???) that using slurs fucking constantly actually is harmful and not good for the community as a whole.

it's incredibly uncomfortable to just be chilling and and then someone will let slip phrases like "dang i really got jew'd out of that match." like sure at the end of the day i just force myself to assume it's a turn of phrase that nobody means anything by, but you know what? i don't know for that for sure. ive never met most of you face to face, and even those i have, ive only chilled with for a few hours. why the fuck do you deserve the benefit of the doubt? in my own experience, people who use charged words like that really DO mean something by it, whether they'll admit it or not. i went to a very racially mixed high school, and let me tell you, the groups of non-white kids that constantly referred to other people as shit like "whitey" were certainly not welcoming white people into their friend circle, no matter how much they'd insist otherwise to your face. notice how whitey isn't even a slur! it's just a disrespectful way of addressing another person. like some old white guy calling an adult black male "boy."

using words and phrases like the n-word, kike, or whatever else, that is a pretty clear sign of a lack of respect. it is, at the very least, a clear 'i dont give a fuck about you, i dont have the brainpower to filter my words so deal with it," and at worst it's a "fuck you, i want you to feel nervous around me because you are a fucking 'x' "

im not gonna try to address how you talk to your friends in a private setting, but this is a public forum dude. come on.

so fuck you. sure, in the end you can use whatever dumbass words you want, but you reap the consequences of how you make other people feel by using them, you fucking troglodytes

"There will be a zero tolerance policy towards those who try to bypass the eligibility rules through means such as using alternative accounts or attempted fraud and those who do attempt this will be punished with lengthy bans and see their teams disqualified from the tournament."

and yet

SodiumThis is completly irrelevant to the case at hand. Futhermore, I don't believe we have ever banned a whole team from a competition when we caught one of their players cheating. Unless there is obvious proof the team was aware of the player in question cheating.

Who in the right mind would admit that they were aware of playing with a cheater. You just deny it and move on. Nobody is that stupid. Offisde tried to defend his friend ry but he quickly distanced himself to avoid suspicion. This is pretty obvious when you read this thread: https://www.teamfortress.tv/52255/etf2l-player-falsely-banned-for-supposedly-aimbot

SodiumThe team didn't break any rules concerning the use of alts nor did they break the skill ceiling rules. Therefore there was no reason to remove them from the competition.

Hold on. This is a contradictory statement. If nicoapkm didn't break the skill ceiling rule why was he removed from the roster?
Even bloodis says that he's fine:
https://imgur.com/a/gBLHzvI

If that is the official statement of ETF2L admins then perhaps you should restore him and have the game replayed because this is clearly unfair to Digital Warfare Juniors.
