Rio exiled from King's Crew

Entering the fourth week of ESEA Season 30, King's Crew have opted to part ways with their rookie Demoman Rio to be replaced by exile.

While exile was initially set to play with Faint Gaming this season, the roster was relegated to Intermediate after being ousted by AyyyyLMAO Terror Squad.

exile opened up about how they managed to squeeze into Invite.

I've had good contact with the King's Crew guys during their Invite season, and they would tell me how they've been doing and what they’re struggling with. I've also managed to talk to them all individually to find out the inner workings of the team, and I am eager to play with them and play in Invite again after such a long hiatus and the unfortunate death of my team in preseason.

I still have a lot of drive to play in the Invite season even after the death of my Invite team and my previous team this season of IM. Playing with King's Crew will be a very refreshing feeling and I’m confident I will rekindle the flame I’ve had for this game.

Meanwhile, team captain lucrative revealed the reasoning behind the Demoman switch.

While I did enjoy my time playing with Rio, unfortunately, his playstyle and thoughts on the game didn’t align with the majority of the team while he was also struggling to play a new class at a Invite level. so we elected to replace him with a more experienced Demoman. We have played with exile in the past, and it’s worked out great which is why we want to play with him.

The new King's Crew party consists of:

  • Scout: bwelp
  • Scout: monsta
  • Roamer: phelon
  • Pocket: pauldogg
  • Demoman: exile
  • Medic: lucrative
  • Backup: Hellbent

Except hes not, his team died when a spot opened. teams looking to make a change will always make their changes as new players become available. no team leader is looking to cut a player without having a player to fill that spot ready to go. No team leader is risking not having capable players for their upcoming matches.

I like Rio and i'm sad that it didn't work out. On the other hand I've played with Exile on KCREW and I know he is capable. Because of his experience and his dedication to the team he plays for, hes willing to try and figure out the issues and what he can do to solve them and how to mold himself to best fit the team which is great and isn't something to be looked down upon or seen as him being a snake. I look forward to seeing him play and hopefully megaboy (Rio) next season as well if he decides to return to invite.
