Tim pulls through in these, go c9 :D
I think if Avangar properly show up they can make it through, while NaVi were definitely struggling they were able to take them to 30 rounds and a third map.
Go NiP :)

With mine they are easily exchangeable but I still feel like they have to prove a little more for me

They can’t even beat North, I feel like Avangar should not make it through but because they are cis and I always underestimate them they’ll get through

Honestly it really depends how well they can adapt to the Asian teams and Brazil teams as well, you gotta consider for players like zy and Alex going up against an unorthodox play style can be really hard and sometimes demoralising. Why I think tyloo vs vitality is such a good first game and I’m keen!

Hello! Sorry to bother you all, but I’m new to the CS:GO competitive scene. I’m just very curious why it seems there’s nothing that could challenge the Finnish esports organization that goes by the name “ENCE Esports”? Everything just seems to be so easy for them!

Northern lights flash in the sky. A blizzard blows, pelting on its way those too weak to withstand the fury of winter at its fullest. From the permafrost strikes a massive hand; the mythical giant once deemed dead off the coast of Italy now rises to life, regenerated, from Lappish soil.

The time is due. Around the world, the word spreads. In Sweden, the best of the best cower in fear and lock themselves in the nearest IKEA retail store. The Brazilians run into the safety of the jungle, the Danes play dead in Legoland and the Slavs sprint crying to babushka’s warm embrace. Enceladus’s augurs are unleashed upon the scene.

Aleksi “allu” Jalli hails from his journey spent in international teams. A man may leave Finland, but Finland never leaves a man. Once again, he picks up the green rifle, this time not for money or fame, but to smite all opposition in the name of Enceladus.

Aleksi “aleksib” Virolainen leaves the fabled squad of HAVU to lead what we can finally describe as a Finnish superteam. Under his leadership shall the northern guns spit death and destruction upon foes who wail in their weakness.

Jani “aerial” Jussila joins after the biggest transfer of the Finnish e-sport scene from his former team SuperJymy. No longer will he be the only stand-out player of his team, but instead, a vital ingredient of a chaotic cocktail made up of Finland’s finest.

Jere “sergej” Salo thwarts all rumors of desperate Internet trolls trying to tell they know his parents who told him to stop playing. Oh, the humanity! Backed up by the forces at home, bursting from motivation like a wolf thirsting for blood, he returns to ravage everything in his path. Where skill rises to speak, experience sits silent and disciplined.

Sami “xseveN” Laasanen fills the ranks from iGame, for what would the team be if they wouldn’t buy the best player from every other Finnish team? Vigilantly standing, supporting his teammates be the cause what it pleases to be, he will be the shield and sword his comrades need to achieve the ultimate. The warning has been given. The sky screams, the ground shakes and the oceans boil.

ENCE is coming. EZ4ENCE

To elaborate a bit more on my picks -- with the changes to the reward system with Katowice 2019, where each stage is now 'x correct picks per stage' as opposed to the culminative total point goal of the past, you are now rewarded for being cautious instead of taking risks. This means that it is pretty much now pointless to guess a sure-thing team as 3-0 in the case that they get upset, because you will miss out on a point that you would get otherwise for putting them in the bottom section. This is because for the Legends stage, you only need 5 correct picks to achieve the requirment for this stage. With this in mind, it is nothing less than in your best interest to put your 3-0 as a random team that has the potential to achieve it (for example this year: ENCE, renegades, NRG), and for the 0-3 it can be any team you expect to not perform well, such as CoL who have played terribly up to this major so far this year. The new ELO seeding system heavily favors top teams this year, and ironically this system is what will save a lot of peoples Pick'ems as well. A good example of this is fnatic, being a team that was expected to do incredibly well coming into the major, recieved a very high seeding going into the Challengers stage, and were picked to go 3-0 by many people...but played like shit and didnt qualify for Legends...but people picking them for 3-0 was ironically a good thing because it didn't affect their 'other 7 teams who will advance' section.

tl;dr = dont pick obvious sure things for 3-0 or 0-3, put those teams in the bottom 7 area

i didnt want to make this claim before it was comfortably proved but with the new bo3 system this isn't really as true anymore for 3-0s

the 3-0s were pretty obvious because of how much of an advantage high seeded teams get, pretty much guaranteeing that they will always play the bottom ranked team in their round. no more lower teams getting 1 upset vs a good team and then getting to play 2 bad teams that also got upsets to qualify 3-0

yea obviously u dont pick fnatic cos u know theyre not gonna respect the cis and asian teams as usual

the point is you can actually bet on teams who are consistent now

was referring more to the new legends stage. fnatic was an outlier because they played against 3 of the worst teams in the major, them not making it through wasn't due to bad luck and bad seeding but because they sucked

I'm just saying that nothing is ever cut and dry when every team is at least decent and bo1s are involved

like, astralis is sort of in their own category, but even TL wasn't a 100% foregone conclusion to go 3-0

I do love the new seeding system other than when the players disrespect teams that should be higher (avangar in this case) but I think using the hltv rankings would've been even more flawed overall, so it works out in the end
