headsfeet.v2017.10.21.vpk still causes invisible bodygroups with the following:

hwn_scout_misc2.dx80.vtx (Futankhamun)
hwn_scout_misc2.dx90.vtx
dec15_shin_shredders.dx80.vtx
dec15_shin_shredders.dx90.vtx
bak_fear_monger.dx80.vtx (The other s1 fear monger style is fine)
bak_fear_monger.dx90.vtx

The above and also
Forest Footwear causes invisible scout feet.
Himalayan Hair Shirt causes invisible heavy hands. Don't know if this one is worth fixing.

xJeebsxIt seems like a few cosmetics aren't being removed from the mods.

Apparently, Valve changed the location of some of the models but left the old ones in the vpk still(according to my GCFscape at least) I noticed this when I got 9 hits for a certain cosmetic .vtx in nohats and 18 hits for the same file in GCFscape.

I looked up a diff of the update and that programmer coding shit is way beyond me tbh. I did see this steamdb breakdown which listed the old model files and their new location(and sometimes new name). I went ahead and ctrl+f'ed the changed model and changed visual entries and made a list of the changed locations then made a vpk with that shit removed. I made the vpk with a lot of copy pasting so hopefully no spelling errors and the vtx files are ctrl+v'd from nohats.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/bu9unzmo0kxvuko/nohats_changed_models.12.11.17.vpk?dl=0

*This only contains the cosmetics that were slipping through nohats since Jungle Inferno, this isnt the entire nohats repackaged.

I tested the items in itemtest minus alternate styles(which itemtest cant do) and TF2Maps Charitable Heart which I didnt see in the list and they all were invisible. Hopefully this can be easily integrated into the exisitng nohats/headsfeet. This worked without the old location model entries so they can be deleted I guess.

The following cause invisible bodygroups need to be removed from the above vpk for headsfeet:
models\workshop_partner\player\items\scout\fm2012_cleats\fm2012_cleats (Ball-Kicking Boots)
models\workshop_partner\player\items\scout\scout_henchboy\scout_henchboy_belt (Flunkyware)

models\workshop_partner\player\items\scout\ai_legs\ai_legs (Xeno Suit)
models\workshop_partner\player\items\scout\tr_bootenkhamuns\tr_bootenkhamuns (Bootenkhamuns)

These need to be deleted from the already existing headsfeet vpk:

In both no.hats.v2017.12.22.fix.vpk and headsfeet.v2017.12.22.fix.vpk the file sd_tattoos_scout.dx90.vtx isn't empty like all the other .vtx files.

In headsfeet.v2017.12.22.fix.vpk:

pyro_rocks_mask.dx80.vtx and pyro_rocks_mask.dx90.vtx are causing an invisible pyro head. (Nose Candy - Horrific Style)

bak_fear_monger_s1.dx80.vtx and bak_fear_monger_s1.dx90.vtx files (one of the two Fear Monger styles) can be added to headsfeet as it doesn't cause an invisible head when removed.

The Triclops and Person in the Iron Mask can also be added to headsfeet as they don't cause invisible heads when removed.

Festives:

Also for anyone interested in troubleshooting, I made this vpk here to block the new festivizers in addition to the old blockable festives mentioned here. Unfortunately it doesnt work consistently and I dont know why. I've tried 'preloading' my own festives, merging it with nohats, etc. Which weapons end up having the lights blocked is a crapshoot. :(

I figure there is a chance it could be related to the December 21, 2017 patch note "Fixed a bug that prevented already-Festivized weapons from drawing their lights".

Okay boys. Headsfeet leaves heads and feet cosmetics. The regular mod gets rid of all the shit, making pyros have invisible heads, or scouts/demos having invisible feet. And everyone who normally wears a hat with their default model (sniper, soldier etc.) become bald and look dumb. Well myself, along with a modder friend, have discovered how to combat this. Enter the "noheadsfeetheadsfeet" mod. This will enable the regular hats, demoman/scout feet, and pyro's default head to still show WHILE still disabling regular hats. Here is a screenshot of scout with a hat while still having his hat. Now, I am poor so I unfortunately cant show off his feet staying, but trust me, they do. I also do not own any pyro head replacements, but trust me, they stay.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1297674257
To install, just download it from my link, and drop it into your custom folder. You NEED to install the regular nohats mod alongside this. It will still work even if new hats are added, as this mod doesn't actually disable any hats, it just forces the default model's cosmetics to stay.

The mod 100% works in community servers, but I didn't realize that it would crash so often in casual until it happened to me twice along with to you two. We are working to fix this and we might have found out how. If this fixes the crashes, expect a follow up mod. If this method doesnt work, we will try out a few other changes to try to get it up and running in casual. [UPDATE] Unfortunately the mod isn't working and still causes frequent crashes. Pretty sure this short-lived mod has died.

Those don't replace the cosmetics. He actually wants a mod that replaces all the cosmetics with the soldier's helmet instead of seeing the soldier's face. Same with the scout's hat/sniper's hat.

A mod like this was once mentioned in the previous thread hrbls made, I think. Someone replied it was possible, however it'd be harder to make work than nohats. I never heard anything about it afterwards. I'm assuming anyone who tried to make it gave up

If this method doesnt work, we will try out a few other changes to try to get it up and running in casual. [UPDATE] Unfortunately the mod isn't working and still causes frequent crashes. Pretty sure this short-lived mod has died.

Thank you and OP so much for all the hard work you've done, will the mod still be updated for community server users at least?

[quote=O112]The mod 100% works in community servers, but I didn't realize that it would crash so often in casual until it happened to me twice along with to you two. We are working to fix this and we might have found out how. If this fixes the crashes, expect a follow up mod. Update: Removed the new Blue Moon cosmetics and fixed hopefully all of the problems that were found before. Namely the Champ Stamp showing on Scout and added some cosmetics to Headsfeet that were showing that didn't need to be there.

The Nose Candy - Horrific style(pyro_rocks_mask) is causing invisible pyro heads in headsfeet.v2018.03.29.vpk.

Edit: Also the Robin Walkers cause invisible Scout/Demo feet and the Blizzard Britches cause invisible Scout feet.

Just installed it and it seems that it doesn't remove the Company Man, looks like that's probably a bug.

Can we get a version that keeps the stock cosmetics (like the original hats even when someones wearing a different hat)
