don't play sniper servers; they make you good at shooting (mostly preoccupied) snipers but mess up your aim with most other classes from my exp.

everything else here is solid advice.

A lot of pubs and a lower mouse sensitivity
If you have the time you will notice yourself getting better

have a reasonable inches/360 (anything from 7 to 15 inches is fine)
don't play svs servers they create bad habits like never hardscoping
don't use tr_walkway because hitboxes are different because the bots move as if they are being pushed, not as if they are walking, or something like that
turn off mouse accel
get better at scout, the tracking transfers over
