Null movement script not working

I've had a null movement script for a long time, but it's stopped working. All my movement keys are just unbound. Started when I tried to switch from comanglia's config to the mastercomfig thing, but even when I switched back the problem persisted. Minus all the commenting, the script is:

Yeah, I also have the normal binds for wasd commented out further up from when I was trying random shit. When I uncomment the script my wasd keys get unbound when autoexec is executed.

MenachemMinus all the commenting, the script is:

try commenting out `exec comfig` at the bottom and restarting your game. if it works then then you need to look through comfig and the cfgs it executes (ctrl+f exec) to see if anything binds to wasd (ctrl+f bind w)

Unbound as in unlisted in the keyboard settings or your character isn't moving?

Both.

Weird little thing I just found, if I exec autoexec once I'm already on a server, the script works fine. If I do it while sitting in the main menu, things get unbound. I tried deleting all my class configs and that didn't change anything. I've just put exec autoexec in all my class configs and it should work out fine.

I've noticed some serious wonkiness with binds and the new update. For instance, there's a new say_party function, but it's bound to F2. No matter what, when you restart TF2, it will re-bind F2 to say_party, but there isn't even an entry for it in the options menu. I assume it's doing similar things for other functions.

You might also want to try running with the -nosteamcontroller launch argument, which also fixes some weird bind issues.

edit: they fucked it up so bad that the "yes" vote for the votemenu, which is bound to F2, doesn't work unless you unbind F2

the kludgy fix is to take it out of your autoexec.cfg and paste the script into each of your 9 class-specific config files (scout.cfg, soldier.cfg, etc.)

Worth noting that this definitely wasn't the fix for my particular problem. I had that in there as part of the comfig.

I just added the line "exec autoexec.cfg" to each class config after my last post. After playing for about an hour and two restarts, it looks like that's gonna work.
