TwistedSin eSports - Entering Team Fortress 2

I have to start this by saying thank you to Kredible from Faint... terrific individual and really loves this scene. He contacted me for awhile before I finally decided to involved TwistedSin eSports into Team Fortress 2.

Kredible asked me some questions in regards to the TF2 scene and what not. We are very excited about our pickup. We plan to announce the roster this week, although some of you may already know who we picked up. If you don't, then by reading the following, you will! I want to thank you (community) for the warm reception... please follow us on twitter for anything relating to us and the teams that represent us.

1. What is the main reason that TwistedSinGG decided to enter the TF2 scene?

A little while back we were approached by a friend, Kredible, in regards to the TF2 scene. He had mentioned that they were a great group of people and the community as a whole is very supportive of their teams, which is a rarity in todays eSports scenes. We here at TwistedSin eSports believe that great eSports are built on great communities and we felt that this scene embodied what we believed in ourselves. For some time we watched to be sure, but time after time it seemed that the community just cared so much for their game. We had to jump into the pool, immediately upon doing so we were approached by teams that had interest, which is amazing. The teams approaching were very professional and friendly, something that is again rare in the eSports scene. After fielding a few teams and scouting them, to include teams from Invite and some of the top Open teams we were approached by Mu and the team known as "Mooin With Mu". We knew we made the right decision once we met with Mu and she told us about her team, it didn't hurt that they had a Nissan Silvia S-13 as their ESEA profile picture.

2. What are the goals for TwistedSinGG for the org itself and the team in the near future?

When it comes to the future of TwistedSin eSports, it relies heavily on the talent we acquire while we're still young. This organization is now 4 months old, so we have to be sure of how we invest, and what scenes and teams we get involved with. We have big goals and big plans to go along with them, our belief is that this team can move through open. We will be looking for Management for the team as well, Coaches and Team Managers let us know where you are, this team has a bright future and needs to be developed properly so that they will grow as a team and as individuals. Something we take to heart here at TwistedSin eSports, is that players should be treated as a number one priority at all times, they are the organizations life blood. We want them to learn from their experiences with organizations and leagues so that they are seen as professionals in the industry. We are planning to promote the team throughout the season and the scene as well, in hopes that more teams will get a chance to represent organizations and the scene grows even more. We are very excited about this roster as it adds another talented team to the TwistedSin family. Currently we are involved in: Gears of War 4, For Honor, Overwatch, CSGO (3 teams), Hearthstone,
Rainbow 6, Paladins, Rivals of Aether, PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds and now Team Fortress 2. We will be announcing rosters in League of Legends and SMITE shortly.

3. From a org CEO standpoint, what is the future of TF2 and it's competitive scene?

This is kind of a difficult one to pin down. With the dedication of the community, it could grow. More and more though it will be important for them and the teams that compete to start promoting their scene, as well as the developer of the game to support organizations becoming involved in the scene. Valve has some amazing titles under their belt, and have a long history in eSports, with some good marketing I think that TF2 could be a game that would have a stake in the eSports market. Even without the developer though, I think this can survive and grow based on what teams and the community are willing and have shown to do for it.

4. As the CEO of TwistedSin, how do you feel about Tri (ESEA Admin) teasing TF2 in the Mountain Dew League LAN with a larger prize pool and covering all fees?

I think that it is fantastic if the Mountain Dew League comes to Team Fortress 2. This will breathe some additional life into the scene and make it something that organizations will be interested in being involved in. The fact that they would cover the cost of travel / lodging is what is really cool though, this would give more organizations the ability to pick up teams, although that could come with a down side that some under funded and mismanaged organizations get involved and are not able to support the basic needs of the players. It really is a double edge sword, when it comes to things like that, but I believe that it would be more beneficial to the scene than a detrement. If what Tri is saying is coming to fruition, then we are just at the beginning of the Team Fortress 2 eSports timeline. Really exciting would sum it up.

It is exciting to me to see a rise in sponsored open teams, I think our current count is at 3 and there are still more orgs looking for teams. Super cool stuff.

Not gonna lie, when I first saw that tweet, I didn't even notice that it said their names on the back of the jerseys.

Show Content

Looks like it's a bit higher contrast on the apparel website but still somewhat hard to read (imo)
