Is there a way to remove bluriness in 640x480 resolution without sacrificing performance?

I am using a toaster btw

edit: i am using 800x 600 now so the problem is solved.

mat_viewportscale ?
640x480 will look blurry if you stretch it in your screen unless if you use a CRT

blurryness in a sense that i cant see distant objects/players.

my mat_viewportscale is set to 1

i am using a LCD guess i ll switch to CRT

blurryness is caused by the resolution itself, why would you even use one that low?

4:3 should be 1024x768 then streched, thats what i use anyways
