I used to be friends with crespi a really long time ago (when I aliased as "comanche") in pubs.

He would literally try to micro his team in pubs, and constantly got mad over the mic, telling specific players to switch classes and do certain things. When things weren't going well, instead of switching away from medic, he'd just continue to get mad and complain over the mic.

I told him to take it easy, and he removed me.

It doesn't surprise me that he's committed to improving now, but anyone who is looking to pick him up should probably have the same idea of what they want out of a team that crespi does.

I know that it is basically pointless for me to try and defend myself at this point, but I'd like to respond to the previous 2 posts.

It's true that I was a huge douche in the summer/fall of 2011, before I actually got into competitive and still played pub medic a lot. But it's also true that this was quite some time ago. In fact, most of the bad stuff said about me here is from over a year ago, other than the mge shit talking stuff. I know that doesn't change the fact that I acted that way, but I thought it might be of some worth to state that.

I realize that I fucked up and nothing I say here is going to help. So i'll just stop now.

Played endif against him in mge, all he did was airshot me with directhit while I spawned. A+++ really fun person.

Crespi is pretty chill, he currently mentors my UGC Steel Team, and is always encouraging us to do demo reviews, map reviews, and lots of scrims. Yes, sometimes he can get over serious/mad, but overall, I think that happens to everyone. He is funny, helpful, and a overall great medic. Id pick him up

Crespi is a very good guy if you get to know him. I've known him for over a year now and he helped me out with the basic things for playing in competitive at the beginning and also introduced me to chris config and told me not to use mouse acceleration :)

Ive seen him play with his team and he is a terrific medic and with very good maincalling. I wouldnt think he is micromanaging his former team.

Crespi, there's absolutely zero reason to defend why you're an asshole. Nobody is going to say, "oh, this guy knows he was an asshole, he must have changed let's be cool with him." just because you said you screwed up.

If it's that big of a deal, then keep quiet and be a nicer dude. Eventually people will stop disliking you so much.

crespi is a great medic. Really helped out my ugc steel team (its a party), helping out with several people's TF2 cfg's together, going over maps ,this guy knows his shit and in general just a chill dude.He's a great guy and funny as hell. Great guy to have on your team . Thanks crespi for helping out its a party. And GL finding a team!

Everything that has been stated already in this thread has some truth in it. As someone who has known crespi for quite a while, it has to be acknowledged that he does have an attitude sometimes that most would find overbearing or egotistical. At the same time, I think the positive things said by his teammates should hold the most weight here. Despite everything that he has done, he is extremely dedicated to improving and can be fun at times to be around. It truly does take someone who knows him well to understand both the mentality behind his rash actions as well as appreciate the behind-the-scenes acts of kindness he does (mentoring new UGC teams, paying out of pocket for his teammates' fees when they couldn't front them, and allowing other teams to use his server for scrims comes to mind). All he asks is to be given a chance to prove himself as both a player and a person in the upcoming season.

crespi helped me learned how to surf, very patient, because i suck at it. try him out, you have nothing to lose and possibly a good medic to gain.

i've pugged with crespi a few times recently and he's alright in my book. he's friendly, understanding and doesn't rage from my experiences.

I used to play with crespi somewhat frequently and he's always seemed like a pretty nice guy to me.

As if anyone in this community has never been immature at one point in time, And/or raged. So hypocritical how some of you are.

Everytime I see someone who last posted, and it is retarded I always look at this and feel relieved.

Wasn't really aware that crespi had such a negative reputation, at least from what i've seen he's a pretty chill guy who's stuck with his team regardless of how tough it was on a mid open team. Hopefully he can get past whatever immature moments he's had and can find a good team because he deserves it, good luck on your search buddy!
