Don't even ask what's going on, but it's a SKATEBOARD THREAD.
I'm sure we've had a few but I want to know all ye former/current skaters in the community! :D
I used to skate, I got really into it and did nothing besides it from 4th to around 6th grade like nonstop for 8 hours a day and I improved really fast on it but our town's flat sucks ass/only few spots and my friends quit skating/moved out to other towns and I just didn't like skating alone. On 7th-9th grade we started skating a bit again every now and then but I couldn't quite get the same enthusiasm towards it anymore I guess because I was depressed and had gotten addicted to gaming. Can do the tricks still tho. I'm mainly a flat skater since our town never supported the sport really, and I was afraid of going to other towns because I always have been an anxious kiddo.
Now after roughly 2 years I'm gonna go gonna go for it a bit again, we'll see if I'll do it more often in summer again but post if you have any epic videos or epic stories in general! :D

Been skateboarding for 14 years, haven't touch a board in 5 years did a kickflip today first try. I use 8.5 I use blanks now, but my favorite board is antihero. Use to skate street only, not into ramps really, I still enjoy doing it, would skate again but, I have no one to skate with, and with a job don't have alot of time.

I advice everybody to do the same.

Just was messin' around the city, was heading to home and heard my surname yelled, peepz I hadn't hung out with like in 6 years, they'd been drinkin and skatin for 7 hours already and this guy tried to land flip from the stairs, he broke his + 3 other decks of the friends, then they just saw me so I lended my board and after he tried again he fucked up his knee and ambulance arrived, classic.

I got into skating last summer with a beat up thrift shop board. I very very slowly progressed, my impatience got the better of me and I quit. might pick it up again this summer tho

I skated for 3 years, lost my skate friends and stopped. I really liked it and would get back to it but injuries happen very often in skating and i don't want to risk fucking up my body. Now, I just occasionally watch king of the road and battle at the berrics vids.

i started skating in october, but only started learning tricks and things at the start of april because my local park has really bad drainage (park will be wet like 2 days after it rains). i tried skating there anyway once and it fucked up my bearings. the slam city skates guy wasn't very happy to switch out my bearings. this picture of my deck is from yesterday when i was practising my ollies and was also the first time i ollied over something
