While on this subject, why is TFLive (or CappingTV...) a separate organisation from TFTV? It would be better to consolidate competitive TF2 casts under one channel, no?

The TFTV crew work closely with other organisations, it's just not shown publicly.

Hey, I'm the current lead coordinator for TFLIVE and to just briefly touch on that issue (although I'm not aware of all the details myself), I believe the previous coordinator, Brodogs, actually wanted for us to merge with TFTV (around OWL14 or so) but at the time our level of quality just wasn't up to their standard. However, since then it's just been a matter of wanting to stick to our own branding more than anything else. But as omni has said, it's not as if we simply have no ties with TFTV at all.

To address the other note, I think tonight's CappingTV stream will be able to rather succinctly explain why they aren't part of any other org.

No. All orgs have to make a request through the Asiafortress forums if they want rights to cast. This currently meaning ~~cptv~~ and rednexala are the only orgs/people allowed to stream Asiafortress.

I understand that the stream last night on CappingTV was the worst twitch stream I've ever produced for, I recently bought out a new computer and have been doing tests to see quality, they were good. But last night one of the settings obviously changed as the quality went to s*it and I do apologise.

this is where I rant a lot
I see a lot of people meming about our organization for how shit the quality is, or how obnoxious the owner is. I am done with it. I only started this to bring more coverage to the table. And so I dedicated weeks or months to create CappingTV. I was pretty happy and excited to see it start, our first cast was the OZF 16 open grand finals, it was pretty good for a first go, except I forgot to turn on VoD archiving. So we started again with OZF 17. The quality of casts were not good, and we knew it was not good, so then I went looking for producers hoping to find people with a better upload speed or computer to help out, it was quite hard to find people, and I know fozzlm also had problems finding people. This is the main reason our casts were so bad. I was getting frustrated with the amount of hate coming towards us, and so I thought a good way of slowly reversing it all was by maybe running a fun tournament, I don't need to go into that. What I'm trying to say is that everything I've been trying to do is to help out the TF2 community, not to create a meme or a wasteful twitch channel. If you really want us not to cast again, well fine get on with it.

Im not involved in the process so I cant speak for it, but I did cast asiafortress back around ozf15. Im assuming they dont need to reapply every season, since tflivetv has shown consistent high quality.

Because we already have support from TFLIVE in the past, unlike you who had to do it from the cast request. For Rednaxela, although he's the Casting Director for AF, he's still using his personal channel, so his content isn't casts-only.

If you really did want to just bring more coverage to the table, I feel like you'd just have sorted out your PC stuff and become a producer for TFLIVE. Instead you haven't sorted your shit out and have attempted to start some half assed org.

I'm not sure the demand is there for more coverage dude, casting open level play, while maybe interesting to you, is not the pinnacle of tf2, and does NOT make for a good spectator sport.
IF we did want more coverage I would only want this to be TFLIVE, the same org that has already established itself as THE Australian casting org, of the back of huge efforts by those associated with it.

Not to mention, that if you really care at all about the community you seem to want to help, you'd notice that you've actually done nothing that really helps them - whether that was your intention or not. Your persistence with cappingtv has only lessened the reputation of Australian casting orgs and australian tf2.

I'm sincerely asking you to stop wtih cptv, because as an ozfortress player - this is embarrassing.
