I really dislike cops in general because they make me feel uncomfortable (however I like the concept of policing in general), however most of them aren't crazy murderers. I think our country needs better mental screening, and just health in general when guns are involved. i hope these officers receive a proper punishment, and we need to take a look at the system.

Why would anyone carry a concelaed gun and then have an "altercation" with police?

I wonder if he even had a License to Carry a concealed firearm. Hopefully that part can come out at some point.

edit... After doing some reading and seeing his past criminal record, he would have never been approved for a license to carry a concealed weapon.

doesn't justify fucking executing somebody like that. If two trained cops can't restrain a man they already have pinned to the ground then they shouldn't be a fucking cop. Even if he had an illegal firearm the police officers shouldn't have been fucking idiot cowards and should have done their job without killing someone.

Also both of their body cams just so happened to fall off right before this happened? Lying sacks of shit,

Open carry of firearms in Louisiana is permitted without a permit, as long as the user is of at least 18 years of age and legally able to possess a firearm under state and federal law. Not sure how it is with concealed there but idk if they looked up his history on their phones before tazing and shooting him

Also both of their body cams just so happened to fall off right before this happened? Lying sacks of shit,

My dad is a defense attorney in California. Several years ago he did a death penalty case where there were 2 helicopters (1 news, 1 sheriff) in the air. When my dad asked for the video of why someone who was in a police chase, which ended in a fairly minor crash, went to the hospital with 10 broken fingers, 10 broken toes, a collapsed lung and tons of other issues, he was told both cameras were off. His client says he police broke each finger with flashlights and he was dragged behind a cop car via handcuffs. Obviously none of the 15+ cars had their cameras on for this either.

What The Actual Fuck. Literaly a fat dude laying on the ground with two cops on top of him and you feel the need to pull out a gun and shoot him. Literally the most passive and least aggressive position ever.

I think this guy on Reddit summed it up pretty fairly https://www.reddit.com/r/news/comments/4rgu6p/alton_sterling_shot_killed_by_louisiana_cops/d51dgdo

I still don't see why they had to shoot SIX times though... Something isn't right about that imo. I mean even if he was going for a gun, why is shooting him the first thing they do? They couldn't of used anything else to stop him? They already had him pinned on the ground, even if he was going for his gun, he wasn't going to get very far in that position. Like the guy in the reddit post said, I don't think they intentionally were like "Heh lets murder dis guy >:D", I think the situation just escalated to something it shouldn't have.

The cops seem to have made a terrible mistake in that case, but as I recently saw a video of a cop getting murdered by two guys in a stolen car he stopped, I can kinda think of why they did it.

Here's a recent video of a cop who tried to stop a stolen car, he told the occupants to get out of the vehicle but they didn't comply - one of the even tried to take his gun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2DtUSE4400 In this case the cop hesitated and died.

Have you ever tried restraining anyone before? It is really fucking hard and i only had to restrain a young girl imagine a grown man. Even when they are on the ground they still have plenty of strength to do something, my uncle had bullet whiz past his head because he thought he had restrained someone effectively enough.
