While the game still looks really bad, just shiny characters, gibs and ragdolls. Textures and antialiasing at the lowest, but i still get like 30fps at most, is it like this for anyone else, isnt it kind of weird? (I know it's temporary for the stress tests only btw, just wondering)

Poor framerate here too. Abnormally poor, and I never even use an FPS config anyway, so I think something is broken.

I have noticed this too and it's quite sad, because I usually get decent frames but now it feels horrible :-(

I'm thinking they're focusing on the basics first, and then easing into it with config editing and what not. The stress test exists for no other reason than to test code and server capacity (I fucking hope).

Been waiting on a dx9 optimization for years now, and I know for a fact I played dx9 on the TF2 Beta when it launched with upwards of 400 constant fps on an outdated pc. Not even unusuals could pull 350 frames out.

They've been restricting configs, yes, but the thing is, I think they're testing out forcing certain values and they must have picked some really horrific ones for this test. It wasn't this bad last time and it's never been this bad for me before, and I have never run an FPS config. On an i5 2500k @ 5GHz and a 970, I shouldn't have 50fps, and I don't when I'm not on a matchmaking server. Even MvM is better.

When you are a party leader and click the start search button it resets your config to default, gibs and everything. I only just realised how disgusting stock tf2 is.

If you're not trying to solo queue, let a friend start the search for you. That way you can still use your graphics cfg

You can put your cfg folder in your hud folder and the game will use that.

That's really weird that this is a thing. But anyway, I'm gonna let my buddy queue us up, thanks!

My computer may be dying (I'm getting much lower fps than usual sometimes, lower than 144), but I'm getting really low frames on MM as well. GTX 960 i5 6600K should get me more than 30-100 frames. Hope they allow fps configs.

I get 9 fps in MM and 10~ second freezes every 15 seconds or so. Completely unplayable. I hope they optimize the game or allow customization.
