My mom randomly decided to be typically insensitive and decided to say the most insensitive thing i have ever heard her say, i do play alot of video games and i also enjoy doing well in school (via a computer for hw), i also like editing and watching youtube videos, as well, i browse forums alot and do spend some time on facebook, therefore a large portion of my life is dedicated to the computer. She decided to call me Adam Lanza as a 'joke' for some strange reason and i told her that she was being completely ignorant and insensitive ( was i wrong to say this ?), she then states that video games was the main reason that the Connecticut shooting occured because apparently he spent alot of his time playing video games, and then i told her that her argument is something that people say when they are to scared to question how we treat and take care of people with mental health issues. My mom generally tends to say things completely out of context and i was wondering if anyone else had parents or know people that share her opinion. Sorry for bringing up such a horrible tragedy on these forums but i really feel like i need other people's opinion on this.
