Was browsing random games at twitch and found slins stream, kept watching for few days and really liked how it looked and was played. After like 1 week i made a recruitment post on etf2l.

used to play on a NA community server, bumped into Kwazi, who asked me to play philosoraptor pugs, organized by the rock of the NA tf2 comp scene, Kalkin, amazing times with really cool people, who'd be in Tony hawk Pro Skaters, which later became x6, Kalkin set me up with a team to play in TWL div 4,where we got to scrim maps like Pro_dustbowl. And well, from there, it only went downhill.

I played a few TF2Center lobbies as pyro and then decided to compete in the Archimedes Cup last January. Haven't looked back since.

Watched some of Star_'s stuff; made an iron HL team with a bunch of online friends from other places. Played demo because no one else wanted to.

That team eventually picked up Nursey somehow. GGs.

Damn... it was such a long time ago, I can't even remember... Maybe it was some stream by Team Empire back in 2008, not sure. If I recall correctly -AA- Gideon was casting and streaming for that org. So shoutout to him :D.

A childhood friend had just won div 3 in etf2l and wanted some irl friends to get involved, so about 5 of us got the game and tried it out in mostly pubs. A couple of us got thrown in at the deep end with about 30 hours in the game each to a div 3 mix, they all hated getting shouted at for not knowing calls on badlands and pretty much never played again. I got hooked and here I am almost 4 years later.

Had a friend play in CEVO ~2009 told me about it, started watching videos as I didn't exactly have time to play back then. Interest kinda died around late 2010 started watching again in late 2011 or early 2012 decided I wanted to play HL after watching this platinum all star match https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07GfhRY6Cfo

my first season consisted of me playing scout/soldier/demo/heavy/sniper for 6 weeks (I got to play scout twice) in UGC HL S7 in steel...

Eventually got tired for playing for HL teams that died after 1 season, took a 3 month break and decided to play for a 6s team.

Watching the UGC Highlander Season 6 Platinum Grand Finals got me into competitive TF2 before I even really played the game at all and I got familiar with top players like ruwin, Platinum, b4nny, yz50, cyzer etc.

My first ever 6v6 team almost 3 years ago was with Scizor and Rolling too. Really cool to see them still involved with TF2.

Don't remember how, but I just stumbled upon the stream for the S10 Grand Finals between Quantic and Mixup. Kept up with the following season immensely before I started giving 6s and HL a try.

A guy in a pub had a "comp.tf" tag on their name. It sounded interesting, so I visited the site.
