capnnofapnIm trying to use prec 2.0.5 and I'm having trouble getting it to work. My lovely friend kevinispwn suggested I might have to install it abnormally as I am using mastercomfig.
install configurations i have tried:
1. tf/custom/prec/*prec cfg files*
2. tf/custom/*prec cfg files*
3. tf/custom/prec files as vpk
(i converted the files to vpk by using the vpk .exe in the bin folder but I am not sure if that is ideal for this)
tf/custom/prec/addons/prec.dll + prec.cfg
GabrielBerranUntoWill changing the dxlevel from 81 to 90 affect the graphics config? If it really is necessary to make my skins not visible, I guess I'll try searching for botkiller weapons since they are strange, and have a slight designwhich is just a hanging robot head. I just need to be sure before I plan doing that.
no changing the dxlevel wont change the text file that is config
u can use any config with any dxlevel so go for whatever u want
sourceI don't know anything about hardware but would one be able to build a 10/10 gaming pc that can handle tf2 well with only $1600?
edit: I guess the better question to ask is what would be the mimimum amount of money you need to build a 10/10 gaming pc that can handle tf2.
what is your current build?
can u reuse parts from it?
what fps and quality settings?
any other games/software?
streaming?
can you wait few months for the good stuff to actually be in stock?
some pubs use some form of ping masking to get people to join them
you can customize the sound to be louder or different but i advise against it since it will get u banned in every league
i think equalizer is your only option
It's something laz's tool does and some VTF crosshair packs have
// Sounds.
SoundData
{
"single_shot" "Weapon_FlameThrower.Fire" // Starting fire, 3.5 seconds long
"special1" "Weapon_FlameThrower.FireLoop" // Looping fire sound, ramps up 3.5 seconds after start
"double_shot" "Weapon_FlameThrower.AirBurstAttack" // Secondary fire
"special2" "Weapon_FlameThrower.PilotLoop" // Looping pilot light sound, always on while weapon is deployed
"special3" "Weapon_FlameThrower.WindDown" // End of fire sound
"burst" "Weapon_FlameThrower.FireLoopCrit" // Looping crit fire sound
}
Put this into tf_weapon_flamethrower under SoundData
