Cbear has asked Killing and Kalkin to be on the show, and at least one has agreed! So - thanks to Tagg's solid advice - here's the thread for you to give us your questions, so we can ask about whatever you want to know!

Also - if you want a hat this week, bone up on your TF.TV forum poster knowledge! :D

Where do they see ESEA fitting into the TF2 community as a competitive league? (i.e. as the Main league or as part of a multi-organization ladder?)

With highlander's numbers growing massively every year and interest in the format growing with invite stars joining the league are there any plans on implementing a highlander league into the esea? If so, would it follow the general rules implemented by the UGC admins? Or would it be more closely modeled after the Etf2l's ruleset?

Do you think that ESEA is going to start giving more attention to TF2 now that they are started to phase out LAN for CS 1.6/Source?

What do you think it would take for people to start using ESEA Pugs?

Why can't they be more open-minded/progressive regarding the use of plugins?

ETF2L allows the use of plugins in their divisions, whether they be transparent viewmodels or increased FOV (and they have had zero impact on the way the game is played).

I don't know how things are now, but when I was an admin kane didn't take any suggestions into consideration and just kind of did what he wanted. Don't know how much kalkin or killing could actually answer. You should try to get Torbull on!

I agree with this fine gentlemen.

Team KK will have to deflect a lot of shit. They simply can't answer a lot of questions because of their limited control

Will ESEA ever look at what actually makes money for TF2 and adjust their business model to suit? Or will they continue to blindly think that the things they've been doing in other games and with TF2 will suddenly magically start working,... faith in magic is not the sign of a good business mind.

On the other hand, looking at the items economy on TF2 and realising people love that stuff and seeing how ETF2L grew their league by offering medals would be a good start. Say everyone that pays fees gets an ESEA Badge/Medal/Hat/Whatever that ranks up with the more Pugs they complete, which gains effects for various 1st 2nd 3rd placements in the league, which is not tradeable, plays to the strengths of what is making money in TF2 right now.

---*Controversial idea underneath this line*---
How about you then throw in the same thing at a new Highlander league (growing format, large player base, sensible business move). Even if they get half the numbers that UGC got this season (sure it may take a couple of seaons to build even that), thats $15,000+ a month... (is the monthly fee still ~$7?) .. which seems reasonable to me.

But I just came up with that idea in the shower,... so it may be a bad one.

New items have to be approved and implemented by Valve- more medals, effects, etc just makes more they have to make work with everything else. The only thing that makes them money is selling items/keys through the store, not any transaction between players.

I'm not sure they'd even get half the numbers for a pay-to-play HL league, personally.

The medal idea is good, except for the fact that valve is unlikely to actually go for it

The highlander idea is bad- the only reason highlander has such larger numbers is because it has the monopoly over the casual competitive playerbase, aka the people who dabble in competitive play but aren't super competitive and still pub, and those people won't pay to compete

When do they see there being a TF2 Main Division?

At what point would ESEA drop TF2... It apparently loses money, and it's been 12 seasons. Where's the threshold, and how exactly would it come about? How long do we have to meet lpkane's business model for us?

I know lpkane threatened to end TF2 one season unless there were signups, and after the goal was met he said it wouldn't have happened anyways. Since both make sense, which part was he really lying about?

Will you ever pick up 9v9/Highlander as a division?

Also: which is your favorite hat?
