#25 Tips for eating healthy in Off Topic

having bags of frozen fruits/vegetables is an easy way to add them into meals. things like frozen mushrooms, spinach, and peppers can be thrown into pasta sauces, soups, sauteed dishes, etc. put frozen berries with plain yogurt into a blender and you've immediately got a healthy smoothie.

think of dishes you already like and think of ways to adjust them. it's easier to make healthy eating a habit if you branch off what you already know. love mac and cheese? add in mushrooms and peas. in the mood for chicken? roast a chicken breast on a baking sheet with peppers/carrots/onions. dress up a regular pizza with sliced tomatoes before putting it in the oven.

spend the evening on some recipe websites to get some ideas on what you can do. you don't need every single exact ingredient listed in a recipe to make it. if you have a day off, take the time to try cooking different meals. you'll have lunch/dinner set for the next few days and you can freeze the rest for whenever you don't feel like cooking. crock pots are cheap and allow you to throw in whatever you want in the morning, then come back in the evening to an already-cooked dinner.

#58 im dropping out of college in Off Topic

if you're going to drop out, be prepared to be asked during job interviews why you dropped out. seeing someone on paper who was able to start and finish something is a major plus and can be a way for employers to tell you can get the job done. if you drop out, you will likely be asked for the reasons why. if you're that closing to finishing your degree, finish it so you can avoid that conversation in future interviews. that's not to say it'll always be a negative factor in job interviews, but it will be a huge focal point when you try to start your career.

#31 My Depression Story in Off Topic

my younger cousin has depression and came very close to committing suicide a year ago. he and other students in his school who also have depression have since created a short film talking about their experiences and how they get through every day. it's inspired my cousin to go into film as a potential career and way to express what he's going through. keep on fighting and never be afraid to reach out if you're in a tough time. someone will always be willing to listen.

#16 Resume advice? in Off Topic

i've done recruiting events with an hr manager in my past job and she always gave extra notice to people who included cover letters with their resumes. i would include one no matter what. they're a bit of a pain to first write out but once you have one, they're very easy to adjust according to the position and company you're applying to, and i can tell you it'll get you a ton more attention.

#133 if you order a $10 pizza how much would you tip in Off Topic
smakersThe average wage for a tipped server in the USA was $11.82/hour as of May, 2012.

it appears you got that line from wikipedia and forgot the beginning part to that section. allow me!

"The American federal government requires a wage of at least $2.13 per hour be paid to employees that receive at least $30 per month in tips.[4] If wages and tips do not equal the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour during any pay period, the employer is required to increase cash wages to compensate. As of May 2012, the average hourly wage – including tips – for a restaurant employee in the United States that received tip income was $11.82."
