This config constantly crashes my graphics driver and I don't know why. Doesn't happen with chris' fps config. I probably have a faulty gfx card since its from like 2006, but it only happens constantly with this fps config.

Can i use this config with DX9 or is it only for DX8?

If yes, then which version of Dx9 should i use? -dxlevel 90, -dxlevel 91, -dxlevel 95 or -dxlevel 98?

Yes you can use this config with DX9. Personally I'd recommend -dxlevel 90 cause the higher ones add more processing and can sometimes give less frames.

I know it's somewhere in my config because my audio resets each time I start up tf2 or exec autoexec. I couldn't find what the command might be by googling it and I can't find what it might be in my config so I have no idea.

even with your potato cfg, dxlevel 91 gives me like 90 fps. dxlevel 81 gives me stable 300+ without any fps cfg. i really want to use prism hud which is a dx 9 only thing, any help here?

Pretty sure it works just fine on dx8, I think there was just some vpks that got stuffed up since the Gun Mettle Update, just remove unlit_world, unlit_nofog_world, and some others which I can't remember ;/

I've spent quite a while searching through the internet for ways to increase my FPS, after quite some trial and error I've compiled a ton of stuff from many different players. While the particles and some scripts are by me I have all of you guys to thank. MaxFPS

about to release a benchmark for the no-explosion smoke script

as far as I know, there was none. Comanglia, R4ndom and I are working on a new one. It gives about 8-10 better fps.
Here it is. Works better with my entire MaxFPS pack. (R4ndom's cfg)

Not to mention things like -heapsize do absolutely nothing.

I'm not a very organised person :(

I highly doubt that my config gave the exact SAME results, since even when I compare it with itself but in 2 different tests, I get different results. I did 10 tests (5 for each day) to see how much it changed. However, 6fps difference is nothing really.

I don't think my config should be adopted by anyone besides myself since (as you also stated it) it's still a mess. The thing is just a frankenstein config where I merged m0re's comanglia's and rhapsody's using a plugin on notepad++.

I will still update it and if anyone else wants to try my config, ask me personally, it's up to your own discretion. I will setup a github for it.

The reason I made this config is because I wanted to leave a small gift to the community before I quit the game after participating in i55.
