Why is powah not responding in this thread?

Oh wait, the power supply...

( ͠° ͟ʖ ͡°)

Well, if you can see this, i might be interested by buying that max head off you, for the current market price. (55$ USD)

I sponsored those teams because I felt they deserve it especially for playing in esea when the league is struggling for teams, and they had a lot of younger players . are you saying everyone deserves donations? Not really sure 100 dollars to sit at your computer doing jack ("streaming") is really deserving of community donation. I think it's just Stupid there are actually people in this thread that think it's difficult to work in Brazil, doesn't really matter the amount and what references are given tbh.

Bring on the circlejerk all you kids want and -frag all the want fact is unless you nut up and give the guy 100$ right now (for doing absolutely nothing) than you really have no grounds to berate me, I think community donation is a great thing for people who actually deserve money but someone just wanting money for a power supply to do nothing is a joke

phobiablink do you ever stop shit posting?

no i can't play anymore due to work so i gotta get my fill somehow

Believe it or not I like powah, I think he's a good guy. I truly hope he can find a job because not being able to afford something that costs $100 is pretty bad. I think in this case he doesn't need a donation, he just simply needs a job and must be willing to sacrifice some time he puts into playing video games. It sucks but that's life. It's been hard getting a job in the USA recently too but you just gotta do it instead of making excuses. God bless him.

It's funny someone saw the troll gofundme lol

Dudes blinkys right why should we give him money instead of him going out and getting a job? And if Brazils so third world where he's living then why the fuck does he have internet that's even remotely good enough to stream? Yeah parts of Brazil I'm sure are awful and third world but hell they have their own fucking COMPETETIVE VIDEO GAME LEAGUES
They can't be that third world and literally a power supply costs so little he can totally just work for like 2 weeks

Sponsoring and leading a team should be commended. Not enough people lead teams in this game. It is hard "work."

Powah should be able to get donations from his fans and people who care about his streaming without being directly berated.

From a personal standpoint, I feel that everyone should be in a position to make a 100 dollar purchase if you're leisure activities are pushing 40-70 hours a week. But it is his life, so yolo.

i think you guys are reading too much into this

idk why you have to make this some huge debate when its him simply asking people to donate... he's not begging he's not upset he's not making a big deal, so why should you? he will appreciate it if you do and if you don't, he doesn't care... it's not the end of the world when a streamer asks for donations

I agree with Brad.. I hope he's able to get a job to support himself. Hopefully he learns how to balance the two out. It's difficult. Most careers won't leave you with much time to be a life long gaymer. Harsh realities :(

People are perfectly allowed to donate to whatever they feel like without needing your shitty inputs about whether or not someone should donate to them anyway
Besides I'm pretty sure the 5.6k people who follow him on twitch and watch him just "sit at his computer doing jack" would appreciate him getting his PSU soon and at least a portion of them wouldn't mind throwing some spare cash his way to watch him "do jack" all day again

lucrative I think it's just Stupid there are actually people in this thread that think it's difficult to work in Brazil, doesn't really matter the amount and what references are given tbh.

no one's forced to donate $100 to him, and you donating 300 to some esea teams doesn't entitle you to being free from criticism after your only argument so far has been "Even though I know I'm not being forced to donate I'm gonna keep using myself as an example of when people should donate according to MY THOUGHTS and MY OPINIONS only"

also you're getting -fragged because people know you're full of shit

and powah is supporting lbtf2 by being its most famous player. and from what i've heard NA has 2 leagues that are better off for support than BR. but apparently its up to you to decide what is Worthwhile Competitive Gaming and what is Useless Competitive Gaming.

Oh, for fuck sake... is it really that big of a problem that there are people willing to donate money to someone they feel deserves a donation? That's all there is to this. Get over it.

I've never seen two people be so adamant about bitching about something completely optional in my entire life. Do you two get this argumentative about everything? Are you now our finance gurus? I'm just curious what compelled you to push an issue that doesn't involve you directly. Instead of just ignoring it like a normal human does, you scream "get a job" like you're being taxed or forced to donate. There is no obligation, just a simple mention that he is down a psu and can't really stream. He put that up so fans that want to watch him could help him get one. I don't see where you have an opinion that anybody should give a shit about is. I get your point, but its not necessary nor is it warranted. Please leave your old man crunchy-nut-having curmudgeon bullshit in your personal lives and let the people that care about your opinions deal with your ridiculously puckered anuses.

The typical girl gamer streamers probably do this all the time having people fund their setups. At least donating to powah will later provide actual good gameplay rather than reading the follower/subscribers out for half of the time.

Real talk, I love the TF2 Community, but if you have a bunch of stuff in your backpack that can easily pay for your PSU, and you don't have a job, just sell the stuff and get the PSU. If I had the $$$, I'd happily donate, but I think the reason people are getting so worked up is because the guy already has "options" to get what he needs, it's just that it seems that him turning to the "donations" way looks lazy to the average person, especially after seeing that he can afford it if he just sold virtual items to get what he needs to continue to stream and play.

The items may have some sentimental value, but it's really his decision on whether he wants to just sell the stuff and get some cash to quickly get the PSU, or just wait it out for people to throw cash at him. I'm not siding with the people complaining in this thread, but simply stating that I understand where they are coming from.

Why do you think that Powah deserves to have absolutely nothing for providing people with hours and hours of free content that is completely on his part without ever asking for anything in return?

What started out as a simple request for a slight pittance has turned into an international debate over what is good and what is evil. Can we really determine the ethical confines that we all must chain ourselves to in order to live wholesome lives, or do we cast away such bindings and give a humble Brazilian some spare change so he may continue a simple and carefree life.

Stay tuned for the stunning developments you won't want to miss on tf.tv! Meatshot.

Oh wow, I only got to know about the existence of this thread now and all I can say is thank you to the people who got the word around to help me out. I want to thank MasterKuni and Sezco who donated and made me reach my goal! It's very heartwarming to see that people do that without any obligation. All I did was ask on twitter if anyone could help because I really can't afford it right NOW. It's not like I would never get my PC fixed, it could take me 2-3 months without you guys, but with this help I'm gonna get it working by the end of the month at max. Thank you all

CondoMYour average 500-750w PSU will cost around 150$ here B]

Passing by to say that last year I did an intership, 20 hours a week, earned $150, so yeeah... In iceland it may be more expensive but you also earn more there, here you have to work way too much to able to buy something. Sure it was just an intership but for example I'd have to work ~53hrs a month to be able to buy something for $100. :(

ok let's just get this straight, the problem with selling donated items isn't that they have sentimental value, it's that there is an expectation when you give someone a gift that they won't just turn around and sell it for cash
