Below are eight out of the nine Season 17 Team Fortress 2 teams. As with Season 16, we used our methods, madness, and bias to pick all but one of the Invite spots and we'll let you, the community, get the last word by picking the final spot. Below, in no particular order, are the teams we picked:
aka anyone in the world registered on ESEA with premium, i recall some random cs players commenting on these polls in the past saying things like "i picked that team because they have the best name hehe"

i agree it would be nice to see a tournament between the teams that aren't automatically placed into the division, even if its not official it will give some newer players the incentive of who they should or could vote for. of course ultimately all the biased opinions would come into play and other players would pick whatever team they want regardless of the results.
i think ETF2L still does placement tournaments for premier right? i don't follow the EU scene but i could recall seeing matches for that a while ago.

IMO ESEA will never implement it, because that would have to be done for other games like CS too and clearly that would take time and money for ESEA to set up all the tournaments in the off season. in their heads they know they can avoid all that by simply resorting to a poll, no skin off their nose. but regardless of players complaining and asking why not since ESEA has been around it will just be ignored

Correct, Prem teams are either automatically relegated to a lower division. Or "defend their spot" against a Div1 team trying to move up.
