I don't think it will be approved. The resulting company is going to be too large, even if they sell off some areas. Remember when AT&T was going to buy T-Mobile?

Already said this in the last TWC post, it's unlikely for TWC to accept at the share price.

Two of the worst cable companies merging? Nope, nope, nope. Not happening, dw. Anti-trust legislation may already be a joke, but this would just kill it for good.
Comcast and Time Warner are already localized cable monopolies which is bad enough, a merger will turn them into one massive nationwide monopoly and that is even worse. Say goodbye to net neutrality and competition in the marketplace with a merger like this.

StarzZReally stupid question inc. Why is comcast so bad? I haven't had any problems

I had outages at least twice a day every day.

Comcast customer service is kind of scummy, one time they put home phone service on my bill and i had to argue with them for two months to get the charge removed

fiberoptic service in the area is a similar price for 10x the speed but it's not available everywhere

When I still lived with my parents the connection would drop for half a second every 15 minutes or so. Incredibly frustrating to game with. Went on for a couple years, we made two attempts to talk to them and fix it and nothing ever happened. Tried new routers too, nothing fixed it. As far as I know it's still doing it.

I still have comcast but it hasn't been doing it here. I'm still way too wary to pay for phone or t.v. though.

Although I don't understand the current view on Comcast by many, I must say that I've been a user of Comcast for the past few years and it's been great. I live in Texas and generally I hear only two ISPs people have, Comcast and AT&T. Generally my friends who game with me that have Comcast have great connection as opposed to my friends who have AT&T, so I always assumed Comcast was one of the best down here or at least decent. Whenever I have problems with Comcast, I'd call them up and they would quickly resolve it, so the support is alright also.

It's highly area dependent. Some places it's really good, others it's really, really bad. Hence why "Comcastic!" is a joke, but I've never even heard the phrase (it's a real ad they run). I know Twitch John and I have really strong connections (we have the same everything), but I definitely have friends who have really terrible Comcast connections.

Isn't ATT only DSL and has no FIOS lines? While cable has issues, DSL will normally be worse, I don't think it's a good comparison.

AT&T in most areas is fiber up to about 2,000 to 3,000 feet from the customer. At that point, it switches to copper. In some areas, it could be either all fiber or no fiber.
