yo tftv pls to help me

I keep thinking of this one movie scenario where a man gets fired from his job but pretends he hasnt been, and keeps fake going to work every day, complete with putting on his jacket and briefcase or w/e (not sure where he actually goes- the horse tracks? a bar? i dont remember)

I think his wife eventually finds out and confronts him, not sure what happens next- divorce? she stays with him?

it sounds like a really common, generic plot, yet I cant find fuckin anything searching google/imdb. my mom remembers this exact same scene and also cant place it- she also says she believes the setting is suburban

it could be a tv show and not a movie, not positive
