Looks great, careful with that rare burger tho.

(Burgers are made with ground beef. When you grind it, you are miXing the eXposed eXterior of the meat with the bacteria free interior. Potentially not an issue with good/fresh meat, but personally I've gotten pretty sick off of undercooked burgers several times before. That's my gut eXperience at least. On the other hand, with Steaks you just need to sear the outside and can safely serve them at a much lower temperature.)

honestly the biggest problem with this burger from a culinary perspective are the pre-formed pepper jack patties, if this is supposed to be the 'ultimate burger' you should at least be going to a butcher shop and getting a good burger mix or even asking them to grind some good cuts (chuck, short rib, brisket, etc.) for you

even if you are gonna buy cheap supermarket ground beef, I feel like the cheese inside the patty is just a hat on a hat, you're gonna take away from the flavor of the beef, but maybe that's just me

edit: I also think cooking the burger with that much oil and while sharing the pan with the egg is unnecessary and may even detract from developing a great crust on it

this has been your installment of cooking pedantry with mustard

Do you know what community you're speaking with ?!

I do like doing the cheese inside a burger thing myself, but sometimes like to mix it up with some cream cheese or a softer cheese like a brie

The more time passes and the more b4nny looks like a dishevelled homeless man asking you for money when you come out of the subway.
