Any help with this?

Basically when I turn on my PC, its all normal sounding and as it progresses theres this sound underneath the normal sound that sounds like a cricket. At first its not really frequent, but gets more and more faster as time goes on.

Temps in the PC are fine, S.M.A.R.T thing checked out well

Not sure wats going on

Could possibly be dust related? I havent cleaned the dust yet not had the time, but if so its ok ill just do it later :)

running the gpu fan on 100% might cause this sound. You can also try reseating the cpu cooler and check all the cables

no i cant hear it through headphones its like a light bicycle sound

i think the most important symptom is if i havent used my pc the entire day, theres none of this sound, and then slowly it begins a little bit and then it sounds like a proper biycle

This really sounds like one of the case fan bearings is failing. As the PC heats up to normal operating temps the fans will work harder accordingly assuming they are plugged into a controller or the board and not straight into a sata/ molex adapter thingy.

edit: may not be a bearing, could literally be that a wire or something is brushing against a fan blade

Sorry for bumping the thread once everyone has already given me some help - but the sound has stopped for the first time in a week. I was playing Fortnite which I hadn't played in months, and then when I closed it the sound just got quieter and quieter and now everything's back to normal

?? No idea whats goin on its vanished entirely rn
