and that command turns my interp to? what? some people say to make it to 33.00 for scout.
making that 0 makes it 0.15 (for soldiers and demo)

People say to make it 0.033 for scout not 33.00. Making it 0 will make it the lowest value the server allows which is almost always 0.0152

no mge is bad, do DM servers, mge is only a ego downer, specially if youre new to the class, i would recomend DM and work on your movement/strafing, you used to be a soldier main so strafing wont be so hard, you will get the hang of it eventually, also since you mained soldier i would imagine your sensitivity is quite high so if you see youre missing shots lower it, scout is all about tracing.
hope this helps!

also u cant just assume all that shit floey and even if its true if it works for him then w/e

MGE is probably the worst way to improve as the scenarios you get in MGE happen 2% of the time. Pub server is probably way more useful because of how much shit is going on if you want to learn a new class.

Personally when I wanted to get better at sniper/demo a few years ago I just grinded goldrush pubs 24/7.

Lowering your sens may be beneficial. There is a little reasoning behind but, I'm not going to start that debate.

no mge is bad, do DM servers, mge is only a ego downer, specially if youre new to the class

if you have a bruised ego from MGEing, that means that you had an ego issue to begin with.

the best advice you can get in regard to learning any skill is to be content with experiencing failure. if you go in with high expectations & a chip on your shoulder, you're not going to improve.

practice hard, take as much as you can from all of your experiences, and don't get insulted when you lose. if you fail to meet any of those expectations, then you're inevitably going to victimize yourself & never get out of the rut of inexperience.

You play mge to practice the skills you're not already practicing from playing tf2 the entire day, every day. People always seem to think people who MGE don't actually play the game.

But mge is still one of the less efficient ways to practise as Scout. 90% of the things you do in Scout v Scout is aiming left and right on a flat ground.
However what might be useful is Scout v solly mge to learn how to dodge rockets when you come close to a solly, but since youre a main solly anyways that shouldnt be a big problem.

any scout that moves & aims on a 1D level (left-right) is playing incorrectly. i can guarantee you that no good scouts that you'd MGE are going to play like that, and it's not simply because it's "better" to practice otherwise. left-right movement (and passive 2D movement, which is unfortunately how most "anti-MGE" scouts play) is weaker than aggressive 2D movement, especially so in 1v1s.

it's very easy to punish both in-place (stutterstepping) and wide strafing scouts by MGEing with a risk-reward balanced 3D style of movement that's similar as to how you'd play in a real match. and by recognizing that, you'll be developing an efficacious 1v1 style that translates well to real games as an all-purpose style (with the added bonus of being extremely intimidating to 1v1, which is useful since your teammates probably don't want you to willingly engage in 1v1's anyway).

in other words, by correctly practicing MGE, you're going to come out with a robust skillset to deal with a variety of playstyles & forms of aggression. if you can't handle basic scout strafing, then you need to learn how to recognize movement patterns, plain and simple.

and with that said, even if it doesn't become your main form of practice, a major benefit with just simply spectating an MGE server is being able to observe how players better than him move & punish one another on an individual level.

since division is the deciding factor in who is the authority on how to practice, then ... b4nny is of the opinion that mge is a very useful tool to improve, how many more invite championships does he have than all of you? oh thats right lol

so yeah dont listen to these non-champion players, and mge like the champions (b4nny and platinum) did/do

edit: cant forget MGEmike in europe!!!

HAHAHA wtf?

people saying mge is bad are retarded. just make sure you use it to practice, and ignore the scoreline. it's actually particularly good for scout because most engagements you have during the actual game will be some form of 1v1. just make sure you don't get tempted to go bitch mode and +back or pistol across the map - it might be good in mge but will literally never happen in the actual game.

there is no single right answer though. every form of challenging yourself at the game will yield results. DM is really great as long as you use it to practice - when I played I committed to every fight and didn't care about dying. pugs are also a great way to practice your aim in the context of an actual game

one thing I think that is overlooked is training your aim under pressure. what I mean by that is constantly putting yourself in situations during your practice (mge/dm/whatever) where you need to hit your shots or you die. if you consistently practice hitting shots under pressure then it translates really well to the game and matches, at least in my experience.

Gotta strongly disagree here. I think dm is probably a lot better but considering good aim is so important on scout I have to say that I think pubs are kinda useless. In pubs people literally just walk in straight lines all the time making them super easy to hit. If you play mge then people will move more like they do in competitive so your aim will improve if you play a lot of it.

I see this attitude in a lot of top players who have been playing since 2007 that think that MGE is useless since they got good without it (not everyone has 8 years to improve). I have seen a lot of scouts become really good by just playing 6 hours of non stop mge everyday and then finding a team where they can learn how to play 6v6 (NiCO for example)

I mained scout for like half a week so my opinion doesn't really matter but I'll still post it. IMO mge is actually good for scout, as a lot of the fights you take as scout (from what i've seen) are scout v. scouts, and mge really improves on that considering you're going back to back 20 times against a scout. Even if you're enemy in mge decides to play soldier, its still a good experience, as it help you learn how to dodge rockets and hit shots in the air. As for cl interp, i'm pretty sure the best was like 0.33 or something? I forgot, anyways, thats just my 2 cents.

EDIT: i meant 0.033
