Cheater/Hacker thread

I really dont think he's a hacker, we skype pretty much or close to every day, and he does lobbies with me.
his aim is trained from CS:GO, and he mains amby spy for a prem euro HL team, his shots are composed of the same things you'd see knd or ginyu's snipers use, slides, flicks, etc.

You can review any of his demos, he gets called for hacks every game it gets pretty funny at how salty stuff becomes, review a demo with a hackusation expert, he's a genuinely nice guy with a cooky attitude and a british accent, you can hear his brother talking about his gameplay sometimes.

He does miss shots, he does die, but it might just be me as his friend being one sided, and everything should be considered.

Hi, thank you $layer for posting this thread.

Yes, I played in a lobby with Carbon yesterday and i have very strong suspicions that he is hacking. I reported him to the UGC AC team since he is currently on a UGC EU highlander team.

His account has quite a few games on it as well as a couple thousand hours of tf2.

The demo from a lobby I did last night is here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/04sneibpk233eqi/Carbon.dem?dl=0
Spectate Carbon.

He likes to reserve servers using serveme.tf under his main account and use them for tf2 centers. There are numerous STVs from lobbies he has reserved -- I don't know if he hacks in all or only some.

I reviewed it and noticed very suspicious behavior -- he doesn't take a lot of shots at all, but he scopes in and swipes across players without shooting. And has an aim pattern that I don't understand. He also has odd behavioral patterns for someone who is managing to hit scouts point blank and hit 4 or more air headshots in a game. He was out of position a LOT, peeking without looking at scoreboard a LOT, etc etc.

All of the above lead me to suspect he is a bad player with a hack.

I noticed he was friends with leaky, that combined with a couple thousand hours on the account gave me reservation about posting him publicly, so thank you as well to #17 for clearing that up.

Also I looked through logs and he has a few games where he is doing somewhere in the range of 100-120 ddm on roamer. Cant toggle with a rocket launcher.

Mr_OwlHellbentIt's odd to see so many ban posts from etf2l yet nothing from NA (esea wise). Im not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure esea client has only caught something like 1 player cheating and that was a very long time ago. If you had a person with AC experience I think you could catch a few players.

I know euros like cheating and stuff but it's hard to look at their bans and ours and not acknowledge there could be some cheaters sneaking past the all knowing esea client.

I can't think of anybody that could be cheating, but it's worth a shot. Would be more interesting than calling out low level players that no one really cares about.

The ESEA playerbase is p small honestly. I'd say at some point or another I've played with or against most people in open/IM and I can't think of a single person I think is hacking.

I think there are far less cheaters in ESEA due to these cheating cowards being scared of playing at higher levels and getting called out. Also even in UGC Gold/Plat you have chance of being twitch casted and hundreds of people watching you. Lately most of the ones I've found have been mostly steel and silver UGC players.

DanceNumberIf you come across a hacker in tf2 center please use the !rep system to remove them from the game and submit a demo of them to the tf2 center forums. They will get a lifetime ban on that account.

Also there is a plug-in called paranoia that can be run on private servers that will match different steam id's to ip addresses. Assuming they aren't using a vpn and don't share Internet connections you can match people with possible alts as well as help prevent people hacking on multiple accounts.

All of these guys that play on TF2C I've been reporting on the TF2C forums. The problem is, I never hear a single word after my report is filed. I have to try to single out an admin or moderator to check on the status of the ban report. Apparently for hack reports they keep the report private so you can never see it after you submit it. Very annoying policy, but I did hear back that a couple of my reported guys were banned already.

He may sound like a nice guy and you may think that his aim is well trained. Can you tell me why he is so bad at scout and can't even manage 50% accuracy and 130 DPM most games?

His aim in that demo was some of the most erratic movement I've ever seen from a sniper. It wasn't just little side flicks here and there, his mouse was literally all over the place. It looks exactly like what I'd expect, a bad player that can't aim coupled with an aim assist.

Also please download and review the STV in post #1. It's very obvious that he is cheating.

Exactly. His aiming patterns do not make any sense at all. Completely bazaar. And he is so out of place especially as a sniper that he dies a lot. He's a bad player that has enhanced his game with some cheats, simple as that.

sky_tbf it's pretty dumb that they will only get banned if they can be proved to be cheating in a match.

My old team leader went on a hacking spree one night after some UGC 6s scrims. Four of us were left in the server so we were doing some 2v2 KOTH rounds for fun, we all agreed to not go med or engie and one of the guys did and it pissed him off enough that he ragequit.

He was VAC banned the next morning. He talked to a UGC admin and they said that he could simply switch to an alt account and continue playing in the season, so long as he didn't use cheats in matches.

This was at a Gold level, and it frankly sickens me that they're so openly okay with it.

Anyone mind telling me an easier way of finding a person on sizzling stats? I have logs of a potential cheater in TF2C but I cant be too sure unless I can get my hands on an STV for some solid proof.

When you sign into Sizzling Stats, you can see a history of all uploaded stats that have you in them. Top right, hover over your name and hit "Profile".

Except this guy only plays on servers with logs.tf or somethin', because I just cant find him on sizzling. Plus Ive only played one lobby with him, but that lobby was full of flags, as well as his logs. This guy is apparently a god or something.

dollarlayer...

Anyways I'll kick this one off by posting about Carbon

STEAM_0:1:42092061

...

Had him added on steam for quite a while, seemed like a pretty nice guy. It's a bit of a shame to see this here.
...but then there's this nugget of a quote on his bio:

Carbon"There is no such thing as a fair fight. All vulnerabilities must be exploited."

TF2Center automatically uploads to logs.tf. It's up to the server to have Sizzling Stats enabled, because sizzlers require the STV demo to be uploaded, which requires FTP access, which requires a sourcemod plugin, not simple rcon like TF2Center uses.

Well, In that case Im just gonna have to go without any STVs

But heres the guys profile: General Logical Sloth

Played against him in a swiftwater lobby, http://logs.tf/732371?highlight=76561198062314315

50 kills, 43 headshots, and 13847 DMG. Started raising redflags when our own sniper said he was prefiring him before he could even peek around the corner.

Heres another on upward, http://logs.tf/637186?highlight=76561198062314315

65 kills, 43 headshots, and 14496 DMG this time, with the logs saying he has 67% accuracy.
Couldn't find any other logs of him playing anything other than sniper or spy, so thats what I have to go on.
Sorry if Im missing anything, first time calling someone out

I struggled with this also, but I personally asked the sizziling stats dev and he told me a way to find it that usually works.

1) Go to their steam profile
2) Copy their steam URL
3) Go to http://steamidconverter.com/ and paste in their steam URL
4) Copy and paste the Steam ID 64
5) Paste the Steam ID 64 numbers after the /player/ in this link http://sizzlingstats.com/player/

If they do not have a custom steam URL name but have the steam 64 ID already in their profile then you can skip going to steamidconverter site and just paste it in after the sizzilingstats /player/ link.

What I've been doing lately is using logs.tf to find suspiciously high accuracy stats, then I'll hunt around for an STV. Might take you several tries to find logs.tf accuracy stat that has a corresponding SS with STV.

Carbon"There is no such thing as a fair fight. All vulnerabilities must be exploited."

LOL... I noticed that yesterday as well. I even included his quote when I submitted him for a TF2C ban. He's stating his ethics right there on his profile page, that you must exploit all vulnerabilities. Look's like he has accomplished just that by downloading cheating software!

Looks like probably another cheater given his unusually high accuracy. To confirm this we will want to see if there is an STV. Might not find one for those specific logs, thats fine, just see if you can use my above steps to find one with corresponding accuracy stats and an STV to go with it. Takes a bit of digging. If you can't find one let me know and I'll look as well. If you do find one please post a link to the .ss, I'd be happy to take a look at it as well. And if you think he is walling, you can turn on r_drawothermodels 2, to see if he is targeting people behind walls.

Can I make a Comment? You're calling him up with his Quote. The quote that is actually a decent comment! Not being rude, but if you want to be smart and try to use this, read the rest of his Bio, The second part of the quote is there, it says, "Those vulnerabilities will soon disappear. And then, only then will there be a shred of hope that our fight will become fair. Until your challenger changes and another set of vulnerabilities are found resting on the water surface in the ocean of war." it's a quote, Don't look into it too much. Can I also say, watch any of them demos and you'll see that he knows how to flick shot. and know's his Hitboxes and that is what comes from playing spy for almost 1210 hours. You'll learn the hitboxes, Please calm down, He's a nice guy and you're all just being unrealistic. He isn't hacking, You're just bad.

Thank you.
Akira.

What I've been doing lately is using logs.tf to find suspiciously high accuracy stats, then I'll hunt around for an STV. Might take you several tries to find logs.tf accuracy stat that has a corresponding SS with STV.
"There is no such thing as a fair fight.

Sorry if Im missing anything, first time calling someone out
Looks like probably another cheater given his unusually high accuracy.

Thank you.
Akira.

The thing with UGC is that their policy doesn't ban cheaters as long as they haven't been caught in a match setting. It drastically limits the window for them to receive punishment for any of their mistakes that shows signs of cheating. Additionally, UGC doesn't support publishing their player bans very openly like ETF2L does.

I'm not sure if you are joking or trolling or what. Did you read any of the evidence presented in my first post? Did you personally review the STV? The quote was simply a humorous addition to the other undeniable evidence presented.

Don't bullshit me about hitboxes and flicking. Watch the damn STV yourself. I have friends with thousands of hours on sniper, and they agree this guy is a cheater. Heck I originally didn't think Carbon was a cheater due to playing with him a few times and remembering how bad he was. An invite player actually played against him in a lobby a few weeks ago and brought him to my attention. At that time I thought nothing of it, until someone brought him up again, I looked into it reviewed the STV and that coupled with the accuracy stats its clear that he is cheating.

My question is why are you defending him? The last time I had someone defending a hacker, it turns out they were one as well...

I reported a hacker to the TF2C forums, with legit proof, and the guy even confessed on the thread he did and wouldn't do it anymore. Then the thread got like removed or deleted(instead of going to the archive) which I thought was suspicious or strange. Should I post about it or would that be considered resolved?

Was it the Puppy21 post? If so I can confirm he got a 10 year ban after I asked an admin about that ban. I played soldier with Puppy21 in various lobbies prior to that incident. I had never even seen him snipe before. After watching that video I personally messaged him, and he did admit to writing his own wall hack and trigger bot in his spare time. I have no idea why he would risk testing out this hack on his main account with 5K hours in a lobby...

Because I know for a fact he isn't hacking, please feel free to go though the logs with me, and I'll happily explain to you why they aren't, And would you be willing to tell me the names of your "friends with thousands of hours on sniper" And I would happily explain to them too how it isn't hacking and that you're just not good enough to understand how it works.

DanceNumbertycho only got a 1 week create lobby ban.

Completely bazzar. The only thing I can think of is that the admin or moderator that approved the ban is slightly confused, and perhaps thought that tyco enabled sv_cheats to enable built in aimbot. (I don't even know if tf2 has built in sv_cheats aimbot, I know counter-strike does). Which would fall more under the lines of abuse rather than actual cheating/exploiting the game.

The tyco guy is very shady though. I've not watched any STV's of him, but he's consistently 50% accurate on sniper and I've heard of him hitting many ridiculous shots one after another. He also said at one point he's a plat player and that is his alt, then he said he's an invite player and this is my alt. Not completely sure about him, but I'd encourage someone to get some good STV footage of him, then resubmit a ban if you have evidence of cheats. I know TF2C will 10 year ban anyone they think is actually cheating.

Edit: Just was about to join a lobby and I see this discussion about tyco: http://pastebin.com/QYscPGye

I know for a fact he has cheated as sniper in multiple lobbies. Does he cheat on scout and roamer? Probably not given he averages like 130 DPM on those classes. His positioning and general game sense is so horrible that using his aimbot is the only way he's able to get a handful of kills.

Regarding my friends with thousands of hours on sniper. Why would I want a dumbass like you talking to them trying to justify your friends cheats? I'm not going to give you their names, but I will assure you have discussed Carbon as well as other cheaters with them in depth. If you really want to know, you can look at my friends list. Here is a clue one guys name starts with a d, and the other starts with an M.

Anyways I won't be responding to anymore of your posts, as they contain a potent amount of bullshit.

Tycho hacks and thundah quite possibly hacks as well because tycho kept hosting lobbies with thundah as leader even though thundah was never around. So either tycho = thundah or they are friends. Both perma snipe every lobby they play in.

I appreciate your concern. When I saw a guy with a fresh account backing up his blatant cheating friend and using phrases like "You're just bad" I believe I responded appropriately given the condescending nature of his original post. If his original post was more polite, I would have responded accordingly.

LOL... yea I have no idea what is going on with them. I heard something about thundah and tycho making lobbies on servers with VAC disabled. VAC is enabled by default on any server. Something fishy is going on....

I don't want to sound like a dick but thundah isn't really very good (at least in the lobbies I've played with him). If he is hacking I don't think he does it all the time.
