Game brightness not affecting recordings?

Is there any way to have my in game brightness settings also affect the brightness of my screenshots? It does seem to change the brightness of OBS captures either despite the brightness changes having an obvious effect in game.

No it doesn't work like that, that gamma correction gets applied at a point way later than where your screen captures occur

You can probably use gamma adjustments in a program like premiere to make your recordings look like how they do ingame
