Mangachuwhat is that box doing there

I tried to block that spam angle by moving the crate but you could still edge off the side and spam into garage, and if i kept moving it then you cant jump from the side of the crate, so blocking it with props was my only option.

I miss the logs at mid that make it so you don't have to jump up, but if you but them back make sure that you can't put sticks in them. I've found myself getting stuck trying to walk onto mid a few times because I forget to jump

how about making granary more scout friendly?
putting some boxes on crates, increasing the map size maybe? since everyone are complaining about how unfair this map is for scouts try to start from there

i'd remove that box on the crates, i doubt the spam angle will be too much of a problem once you know it's there

could just lower the metal gate thing down a bit, idk how it would work out
that's really my only complaint about the map currently and maybe you could move the spawn forward a bit/flatten it out

not sure if this would kill the aesthetic and charm of granary, but that rocket room needs to be dealt with, one of the reasons granary is so unforgiving is because you spawn so far away,when you leave the spawn you should be outside of the spawn, not in a secondary spawn, although the story of granary is that it is red and blue fighting over a missle base disguised as a granary. its up to you, if you want to put the aesthetic elsewhere, go ahead.

or just raise the level of the crate on mid instead of adding a new one on top of it

simple fixes are much better than adding props everywhere normally

Almost wholly irrelevant and like 99.9% useless but just an interesting little tidbit in case it hadn't been found yet: it's entirely possible to get up to and build a sentry on the diagonal crate on mid without a wrangler.

Go up the tire ramp, jump across the gap onto the little corner of the other crate that the diagonal one rests on, jump and strafe around the corner of the diagonal crate, build a dispenser and climb on it to get onto the wooden box then jump up to the diagonal crate and build.

If anyone really wants a demo of this for some reason I can provide but don't see how it's particularly important, just a small thing to note.

If you rotated the crate clockwise just a little bit it would cover up that sniper sightline and block the garage spam spot without having an out of place box on the crate for no reason

it seems odd that youve changed mid so much when mid was the best part of the map
i'd say last needs more changes because it's always such a messy fight. on every good last theres a dominant position from which you can win the point (taking top left on badlands, panic room on process, top right on gully) but that doesnt seem to exist on gran last. also the point is just so wide open that there's so much distance to cover to reach your opponents so if they have a sniper you get ubered so early

I think mid looks amazing besides the barrels (Scouts OP now). Second looks untouched so I added my opinions on it. I like the addition of shortening first cap point and increasing second, but you'll still face issues when you're on last recapturing 2nd since the other team's repsawn is so fucking close. Essentially you're double fucked on last since you just increased the second cap time. Here's the first point I made earlier:

1. Not many maps have respawns in front of a cap point. I would do some testing on the avg. time it takes to get to the next point on other 5cp maps and apply the same logic here... so move the respawn.

Also what you could do on second/last, both doors are facing sideways. Maybe change one side and make it face forward (think Snakewater last). The sideway thing fucks with jumps, and you can get an easier Sniper sightline from the Forward facing one for a split second.

No idea how stark is getting downvoted for that. How was mid ever the problem with granary? It's the only part most people enjoyed before as far as I'm aware. Everything that annoyed me about granary is still present in this pro version, the only difference is now I have to learn a new mid fight that is just as messy and chaotic as the previous one (if not more so).

How the mid looks and how the mid plays are two completely different things though. I've not had the time to play it yet but from what I've seen in streams the old mid was better.

What kaidus says is right, it feels like the only difference is that sniper is more powerful & mids are just messy.
