TF2 Memory Leak?

I realize there are a lot of old threads about similar issues, but I couldn't find any that were close enough to mine. After playing TF2 for like 20-30 minutes, I notice that my mouse input begins to lag and my framerate goes down slightly (from like 300 to like 250). I've had this issue for a few years and have never been able to figure it out. I've fresh installed TF2 multiple times, used different mice, and this problem has persisted over a few different CPU's and GPU's. I'm not sure if I'm going crazy or not, but there is a noticeable increase in mouse input delay after a while of playing. If I restart my PC, it goes back to the normal buttery smoothness for a little while. But, just restarting the game doesn't seem to help too much. I've tested for overheating and other things like that but temps are all okay, it also doesn't seem to happen in any other game. The people I've talked to have suggested it could be a memory leak, but I'm not really sure what could be causing it.

If it helps -- I use default tf2 HUD, Mastercomfig stuff, DX8.1, 144hz, and Fullscreen stretched 1024x768. I can add more info if needed.
I would appreciate any help or suggestions so I don't have to restart my PC after each half of scrims :)

UPDATE: SEEMINGLY FIXED--
It seems to be fixed now. From what I can tell, the issue was with my SSD and my OS. I fresh-installed Windows10 onto my HDD and the issue is completely gone for now. Figured I would update this in case anyone else has the same issue in the future. Just move your OS from your SSD to a different drive and it should fix. Thanks for everyone who tried to help!

UPDATE: I lied, see below.

mastercomsEven with map changes? What are your launch options, mastercomfig version, mastercomfig preset/addons?

The launch options were
-freq 144 -novid -nojoy -nosteamcontroller -nohltv -particles 1 -NoQueuedPacketThread +cl_clean_textures_on_death 1 +mat_lodin_time 0

As for mastercomfig version, I've been using the 8.5.0 but have also had issues on previous versions. The addons I use are the pyroland, flat mouse, medium-low, no extra models, no soundscapes, no tutorials, and null movement.

I've also had this same issue without the launch options, and without some of the addons.

still looking for ideas and would appreciate any and all help. I've tried not using google chrome will playing, but the issue still persists. It's also now been happening in dx8 and dx9.

I cant provide you with a cause or solution, but if you say restarting your PC fixes the issue....

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/rammap

Download RAMMap. After you experience your issue, exit the game and then empty the stand by sets, and potentially the other sets and see if the issue persists - via the empty menu.

This has worked for me on occasion when my game would crash for no reason everytime i launched it, so it may help here.

AFAIK, modern operating systems will effectively free most memory allocated by a program when it's terminated.
So, maybe tf2 itself isn't causing it because I would think you could just restart tf2 for its allocated memory to go away. Maybe it's caused by a driver or something more persistent that continues running after tf2 is closed?
Definitely use some tool to check memory use though!

The problem is your computer has to many holes in it and the memory is leaking out. Put some tape over the holes for maximum performance.

So tried the RAMMap and it didn't seem to work. Also, weirdly enough, the issue seems to be getting worse faster now. Definitely really confused on what's going on here.

I've also tried TF2 without a config, and the issue still happens. Wtf is going on

It seems to get worse if I change maps more frequently AND I after looking at a few more games, it seems to possibly be affecting those too. Could it be my GPU or Monitor? They're both two years old

Ok it is totally not fixed and actually might be worse than it was before. However, it does seem to get slightly better after changing maps now, when it used to get worse after changing maps before. Migrating the OS to my HDD seemed to fix the issue for only a day or so. Completely out of ideas as to what it could be. I'm going to be testing my backup RAM, CPU and MOBO today to see if it's a hardware issue. Any other ideas are greatly appreciated. I just want to play buttery smooth TF2 :(

Could try booting into safe mode to see if it's some weird windows process (despite your fresh install), years ago I had to do that to diagnose an issue when I noticed that explorer.exe would slowly eat up all 8gb of my ram lol.

Have you checked your temps? Perhaps its a throttling issue.
