FUNKeWould it be possible to have a a weapon lockout system?

Say, theoretically everyone who plays comp is given every weapon (only during comp) so they can fairly change loadouts, what say if you have one medigun then all latter medical must use a separate gun? The downside to this is that weapons with <6 items in the slot would NEED this to be lifted. This would also arbitrarily fuck with stuff like double scattergun/RL's, which is counter Intuitive. But if valve is so deadset on avoiding class limits, maybe there is something tangible in there. Maybe have it only apply to specific things like mediguns.

I don't think that sounds like a good idea at all, but you've got influence to test it out. Rent a server and try a few pugs with it! See what it feels like in practice.

I don't think it's the solution either, it's just something I think could be a workaround for how they seem to be balancing as of right now. I know it's a rather arbitrary system for a larger issue, I just don't expect full class limits to be implemented, at least not any time soon.

Edit: After several Days of being 1 game away and not being able to find matches i have Calibrated at the highest Rank with 1862 MMR

I've tried queueing for around 40 minutes multiple times and havent gotten a final game for placement matches. I've been stuck at 9-1 for 6 days...

Matchmaking Changes
- The initial load time into a match no longer counts against a player's abandon timer
- Changed the timeout before a missing player is marked as having abandoned a competitive match to be three minutes from the first time a player disconnects from the server, rather than from the moment the match is formed
- Queue times should now be significantly faster when dealing with large numbers of placement and recently-placed players in queue
- Moved the Competitive MMR change notification so it no longer overlaps your rank
- Fixed continuing to receive the prompt to rejoin a match after you have been dropped from said match
- Fixed a case where players would receive a rank change in matches that dissolved due to abandon

Been playing this a lot with irl friends and having a lot of luck getting games (rank 11 with 1771 mmr) but now running into an issue where we only gain 1 mmr per win and lose anywhere between 15-20 per loss. So even if we win the vast majority of games it only takes one loss to negate it all. It's an unfortunate situation that's killing the motivation to keep playing,

are you playing with lower MMR friends? are you queueing with 6 against another premade team of 6?

This is the worst thing ever. I played on gorge with a bot while the other team didn't even have a bot. People can also just be afk in spawn and you can't do anything about it.
