Surprisingly this actually gave me a Smoother frame rate sitting around at 15-25 fps (In the midst of a rocket filled battle) on a 1.48 Ghz cpu!

you're gonna wanna use more modern methods of acquiring more frames, such as mastercom's config. the no hats mod is being maintained by someone else now, and the no explosion script set still works
masetrcoms provides launch options, but assuming you've got a mega potato running tf2, choose your resolution to be like 800x600 probably, and go for dxlevel 81

Could you point me in the right direction? This is my first time. I usually just play league and n64 emulators but I'd like to see what I can do with tf2 until I get my new computer in about 5 months.
