same problem for me, but not that serious. It drops from around 60 to like 10 for 5 to 6 seconds two or three times a day.

I think you should try FPS configs if nothing else has helped. Something like Maxframes should help, at least they've helped my game.

I don't really like the idea of making my game look like ass to make it run the same as it did pre-update tbh

WafuI don't really like the idea of making my game look like ass to make it run the same as it did pre-update tbh

Then we really can't help you then. Also your game doesn't have to look like "ass" when it comes onto fps configs. Just head on over to cfg.tf and choose a fps config that wont "ass" your game

Then your only options are either overclocking or upgrading your PC build... Would recommend an fps config tho

i dont think u guys understand the question... i had enough stable fps and a fps config before the update, but a couple days into the update my tf2 drops started dropping fps for seemingly no reason. a new fps config wont do anything

You might want to test out different ones. I use Maxframes, and it works well. No FPS drops or any similar issues.

Tested out maxframes and comelia's config. no difference. as i said before, the problem is not with the config or my settings, something in the game has changed that causing my tf2 to drop fps every second. does anyone have any idea what i could do to fix this problem

i think ihave the same, but drops from 200 ish to 90. running a 1050ti. changing the configs or overclocking doesnt get rid of it.

My bad, my issues were fixed when downloaded config. I thought it would help you too.

Any extra info on this? I've got a high end rig, temps are fine, made sure all my drivers are updated, checked there's no cpu or memory hog process open, have switched to many different configs, and my fps remains trash after this update.

i have a dell latitude e4310 laptop with 4 gb of ram and an ssd. pretty shit but as i said before doesnt seem to be the hardware problem as ive run another game with fine fps and closing all other applications besides tf2 and basic windows applications doesnt work either. also ive had a consistent solid 120fps for a year before this update. just seems to be a tf2 problem

Make sure that hud_autoreloadscript 1 is commented out of your config or that it is set to 0 as that could be the reason why you are having this issue.
