JojoGlass pad. Go to a local glass shop and ask for a 3/8ths inch piece of glass with beveled or rounded edges/corners with your desired dimensions and frosted on one side. Stick some pads on the bottom and there you go. It will last forever because the mouse feet won't damage the glass the same way they do regular pads. Very fast and constant feel. Requires a high quality sensor though. At 3/8ths think it's pretty sturdy and I have never worried about mine breaking. Mine was like 20 bucks for a 20 by 17 piece.

You can always get custom acid-etched glass sheets from local glass shops, in whatever dimensions you want. Heard quotes from others that it was up to $50 for decently sized pads, though I've never done it myself. Icemat style is just a painted bottom, shouldn't be hard to diy other options to be the same way.

You can also use some glass chopping boards as mousepads and they work just fine.

I saw this thread thinking I'd come in here with useful info but Vulcan beat me to it with my own post lmao.

When I had mine made I took my icemat with me as an example to show them how I wanted the surface. Also about the cutting board thing, I had one for a while and loved it but eventually I found it was totally flat and my mouse would rock back and forth between two of the corners. Not not sure if it came that way or if it somehow flexed over time.
