cnpjphillypwnIf you reflect a Dragon's Fury projectile and kill someone with it, it won't count for the contract (which I believe is a bonus on the main contract).

Pretty sure this happens because the bonus damage for hitting shots repeatedly comes from a different source than the normal gun, you can see it in logs and from the default skull & x-bones icon in the killfeed

anyone know a more efficient way to do the bonus contracts? it feels unreasonably grindy and boring to just stand back and slowly wait for pubbers to waddle onto the point to defend it, and if they walk away from the point/payload before they die it doesn't count :/

I had to cheat to do the 'kill 20 players capping the point' on Lazarus bonus. Basically joined a pub at 2 AM with 6 people and pubbers were more than willing to help.

I'd feel more bad about cheating if Valve put in some thought for these contracts, killing 20 people pushing the payload legitimately is ridiculous.

The only way I've been able to do some of them is to get a full party of people to bait the point, and even then its a grind, mainly because enemies still don't push.

Payload maps are so hard to gain defence points as if they are just a single step away from the cart it basically won't count as defending. In CPs you can still manage to kill one or two low health classes by sticky spamming, but its still really really hard

Is mossrock contract also broken? Since I'm not getting anything for "Defending the control point" bonus. I tried killing ppl on the point and tried walking on it while someone capped it, no points :/

Defend the point objectives seem to not count for me when the person capping the point is in the air (like jumping or something), I haven't really tested it but that's the only inconsistency I've noticed, and I've completed the mossrock one.

The Crusader's Crossbow bonus objective seems to work as intended. You just need to take damage and regenerate (200 dmg). Can be done in 2 or 3 games (just by being a little more aggressive and using the quick-fix).

It says regenerate or pick up, and it seems health packs or any other healing besides natural regen don't count

For some reason I am not able to use the weapon that was given to me to complete the contract. I unlocked the slapper contract and see the item in my inventory but cant equip it so I have to rely on my party to get those achievements. And I cant switch contracts to reequip it because its the last free one that's available. What do I do?

You have to do Expert Offense Classes too.

If more than one contract leads to another one you need to do all of them to unlock it.

If you get a frag with a krit-pumpkin rocket after the weapon is no longer charged you don't get a "crumpkin kill"

The Helltower bonus objective for reaching the Bombinomicon twice only seems to register once, but when you turn it in you still get the star, even though your progress is 1/2.

I can't seem to get the eighth close range kill on the huntsman contract... Killed people in everywhere from point-blank to across the map, still not getting progress.

EDIT: Nevermind, when I turned in the contract I got the star even though it said 7/8

I just figured I'd post that the Crusader's Crossbow contract is actually extremely easy to do on Mannpower. If you go to Hellfire (which has lava pits outside both spawns) and get the Regeneration powerup (the one that looks like a recycling symbol) you can jump into the lava and you will both take damage and regenerate health EXTREMELY quickly. The regeneration from the powerup isn't strong enough anymore to stay in the lava indefinitely, but you can stay in there for a good 20-30 seconds before you have to leave.

Alternatively, if you're playing against tryhards, you can use the grappling hook to do self-damage. The middle point on Hellfire is up high enough that you take roughly 80-90 damage if you fall from the rafters above it.

Strangely, the Brass Beast contract does NOT work the same way - you need to take actual player damage for that to trigger.

telefragging someone counts as a long range huntsman kill.
Edit: If the cart is being defended then the enemy doesn't count as pushing the cart

Killing someone who's near your cart when playing PLR counts as "killing an enemy pushing the cart".

The "Defense Weapon 2: Brass Beast Bonus Objective: Take 1000 damage in a single life using the Brass Beast." is now fixed. I have completed it myself. You just have to take 1k damage in 1 life, 6 times, as Heavy. You do not have to have the Brass Beast out when taking damage. You can take damage while you are holding your lunchbox item or melee too.
