Here are some cosmetics I noticed that still cause invisible bodygroups. http://imgur.com/a/WFwRF Thanks for supporting the headsfeet version man. Edit: these are using headsfeet.v.2017.07.07.vpk

Thank you, I'll look into it!

Damn that was a fast update, I should have finished testing all of them before posting. Thanks again for the maintaining headsfeet. I tried all the scout/demo feet and pyro head replacements (according to the wiki) in itemtest and this is the list of what I found still causes invisible bodygroups(all pyro heads except the last one): http://imgur.com/a/lqQwD

Arthropod's Aspect
Black Knight's Bascinet
Combustible Cutie
Corpsemopolitan
Creature's Grin
Hard-Headed Hardware
Hollowhead
Lollichop Licker
Mr. Juice
Phobos Filter
Rugged Respirator
Vampyro
Wartime Warmth
Futankhamun for Scout still cause invisible feet for me for some reason.

Edit: Shin Shredders for Demo also cause invisible feet I noticed. http://i.imgur.com/lXblEMV.jpg
I tested the rest of the Scout and Demo pants region cosmetics and none of them had the invisible bodygroups issue.

So the Futankhamun and Shin Shredders are still invisible but I noticed an error popping in the console when trying to initially load the items in after starting tf2.
MDLCache: Failed load of .VTX data for player/items/scout/hwn_scout_misc2.mdl
MDLCache: Failed load of .VTX data for workshop/player/items/demo/dec15_shin_shredders/dec15_shin_shredders.mdl

I went ahead and extracted the vpk and searched the model folder for hwn_scout_misc2 and dec15_shin_shredders and deleted the vtx file results for both. Loading up TF2 this solved the invisible bodygroups issue for both items. On a side note I had no idea maintaining this mod took over eight thousand individual file entries, good lord.

I also noticed in game the Fear Monger cosmetic for Pyro caused invisible heads but not in itemtest. This is because it comes in two styles and nodoby uses the style that keeps the pyros head, except for whoever programmed itemtest's default style. The error for this one was:
MDLCache: Failed load of .VTX data for workshop/player/items/pyro/bak_fear_monger/bak_fear_monger.mdl

I fixed it by deleting bak_fear_monger.dx80.vtx and bak_fear_monger.dx90.vtx
Also, I left alone bak_fear_monger_s1.dx80.vtx and bak_fear_monger_s1.dx90.vtx because those only remove the hood from the style that keeps the pyros head. None of the other Scout/Demo feet and Pyro head replacements have issues with styles besides this one it seems.

This is my last nag for a while I promise. <_<

Hello, is there any way to still show the vanilla hats that should be present in game (Soldier and Engie's Helmets, Scout cap, Sniper Hat), any time i confront a hat-wearing person it completely removes its headset letting me know i must be fighting a game's connoisseur, which wouldn't be a problem if I hadn't installed this mod in the first place and if everyone had the good ol' tf2 vanilla hats.

Is there any way for you to replace them for the default soldier, engie, scout, sniper hats?

Please let me know cheers

For anyone who cares about seeing their botkiller heads here is how to get them while using nohats/headsfeet.

1) Go into Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\bin and drag and drop your latest nohats.vpk onto vpk.exe

2) Search the extracted folder full of .vtx files for the entries of the specific botkiller(s) you want to be visible and delete the associated .vtx files. Botkiller file name reference below.

3) Drag and drop your extracted nohats folder back onto vpk.exe to get a vpk(or not). Then put it into Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\custom and youre good to go.

All of the .vtx files blocking botkillers can be found in nohats\models\player\items\mvm_loot and then the respective class subfolders. File names with "_v" in them are for the first person view only. File names without "_v" in them are for both the first person and world view(seeing other players/yourself in third person).

Not sure if this has been asked before, but is it possible to remove the festive lights from festive only weapons (festive grenade launcher, festive rocket launcher, etc) through this mod?

As far as I'm aware only some of the festive lights can be removed depending on if theyre a part of the weapons model or their own model that attaches to it. I basically just used HLMV in Team Fortress 2\bin to check mdl files to see if they were festive lights or the entire festive weapon. Using the wiki page for reference:

2011 - all lights are removable
2012/2013 - no lights can be removed
2014 - Only the Shotgun/SMG lights are removable
2016 - All festivizer lights are removable except the spy-cicle. (including ones applied to skins)

https://www.dropbox.com/s/htri5lli959i2er/nofestivelights.vpk?dl=0
Extract and delete the weapons you want lights to show on. If anyone knows how to disable more festives or shit like australiums that would be nice to know.

You can also remove stat clocks via models\weapons\c_models stattrack.dx80.vtx and stattrack.dx90.vtx

It seems like a few cosmetics aren't being removed from the mods. I'll have a look at them later.

headsfeet.v2017.10.21.vpk still causes invisible bodygroups with the following:

Honsterheadsfeet.v2017.10.21.vpk still causes invisible bodygroups with the following:

hwn_scout_misc2.dx80.vtx (Futankhamun)
hwn_scout_misc2.dx90.vtx
dec15_shin_shredders.dx80.vtx
dec15_shin_shredders.dx90.vtx
bak_fear_monger.dx80.vtx (The s1 fear monger style is fine)
bak_fear_monger.dx90.vtx

no.hats.mod.v2017.10.21.vpk has quite a few cosmetics getting through since the update. Hopefully this is something Valve can fix on their end... I went through the store and looked for cosmetics that werent getting removed, seems to be mostly items part of the same promotions. May have missed a few because I was half watching a tv show:

Crown of the Old Kingdom
Jungle Booty
Tomb Readers
Bootenkhamuns
Orions Belt
Alien Cranium
Biomech Backpack
MK 50
Xeno Suit
Dadliest Catch
Sole Saviors
Baronial Badge
Criminal Cloak
Dread Hiding Hood
Gilded Guard
Lacking Moral Fiber Mask
Whale Bone Charm
Beastly Bonnet

You are a god among men. I'll fix these broken cosmetics.

Edit: I re-removed the items from the No Hats mod. All of them still show. Looks like we're going to have to wait for Valve to fix this issue.

Thank you for actually providing a good, clean, direct, GitHub download to the .vpk as opposed to putting it up on some shady download site with 400 "download" buttons and sketchy links. Very professional and excellent work.

Sorry for the extra work, thanks for trying it though. :(

I think valve patched something when they broke nohats once before so maybe there is hope.

Better to find out now that it's nothing I've done instead of letting it sit there.

How would I go about editing the vpk files to allow festive weapons that dont have a unique model and botkiller weapons?

tonyp2121How would I go about editing the vpk files to allow festive weapons that dont have a unique model and botkiller weapons?

Festive weapons are not blocked by default.

If you want botkillers to be visible drag and drop nohats.vpk or headsfeet.vpk on to Steam\steamapps\common\Team Fortress 2\bin\vpk.exe. In the resulting models folder search using the phrase fob_* and delete the resulting files. Then drag and drop the folder that got extracted from vpk.exe back onto vpk.exe.

Hello Jeebx, the latest github headsfeet and originalnohatsmod are crashing my tf2 on launch. Can't reach the menu before the game crashes. I am using mastercoms 4.5.6 config if that makes any difference, help pls.

Working fine for me. I suspect it is the config or the hud.

Shouldn't be causing any sorts of crashes. Either you have something in your config or you have somehow managed to install it incorrectly.
