It's possible people just go directly to Purolator to complain and our store never gets involved.

However, a good amount of orders are placed in-store as opposed to online, and in-store we don't specifically tell the customer it's being transported by Purolator unless they ask. They just place the order and we call them once it's in.

I do know Purolator sometimes has issues with delivering to apartments, but from what I've heard that's usually only when there's some issue with the buzzer.

Our buzzer is completely fine. Even went down there tonight to check, and it's working A-OK. Also, other shipping companies have little to no problem with it, even though they're all given the same exact shipment information / address.
I don't know why Purolator can't figure out how to use a buzzer for an apartment building, but you're right, that's basically what most of the complaints are about.
I'm sure if I lived in a larger city, such as Toronto, I'd have very little to no issues with getting items delivered to me. But instead, I live in a relatively small town, and there's maybe 3 or 4 apartment complexes in the entire town. I'm sure whoever is responsible for delivering packages for my area isn't exactly used to delivering to apartment buildings, so I can sort of see why they'd hesitate to deliver to mine. It's rather stupid to think that they might fear the buzzer, but I can honestly see that being true. Small town, few buildings. I'm basically an alien to them.

When I first moved in here, the super warned us that getting items shipped to our apartment may be difficult. That's one of the primary reasons I rarely shop for physical products online, preferring in-store pickups whenever possible. But like, this is really getting ridiculous. I just wish Purolator would learn how to use a freaking buzzer, so I can shop on Amazon more often. I want to be able to buy the one day shipping option, and actually feel confident that I'll get my item in one day. This was the first time I ever paid extra for express shipping, and unless Purolator is removed as a shipment option from Amazon, I don't see myself ever ordering express shipping again. Too many risks involved, and far too inconvenient in the end. Thankfully though, Amazon appears to blocking Purolator from my account, so I guess in the future, I'll be able to order from them more often. May even get Prime for the Twitch sub and game discount stuff. Prime is gimped to all hell in Canada, so I'm hesitating. But still, it might be useful to have if I can get the bullshit shipping stuff sorted out.

I've ordered a couple products that Purolator shipped to me over the years, and never had a problem with them. Sure, it would have been nice if I didn't have to go out to Etobicoke to pick up one of my things that they could have left at the door (It was a uniform, not like a CPU or a phone), but not a biggie.

i've tried to have things shipped from the us to canada and every single time they've been delivered through canada post they delivered the parcels to the wrong address, claimed they had no knowledge of dropping them off at the wrong address, then refused to even assist the person i shipped to with the issue and basically told me to go fuck myself

i'd go with fedex

Okay, Purolator just delivered the package today. I asked him why he wasn't able to deliver it on Friday, like he was supposed to. His reason? And I shit you not, this is legit the actual reason.

"I have poor eyesight, and couldn't read the buzzer info."

....

Are you fucking kidding me? The reason Purolator couldn't deliver the package was because the driver couldn't see the buzzer?! Holy scout on a stick, is that the lamest reason ever!

Btw, how do you even get this fancy company name or whatever besides your name?

edit: I am blind

Dude literally this morning my buddy at work almost got killed by some idiot Purolator truck driver. Like my city has on average pretty terrible drivers, but I have never seen a Purolator driver in my city that I would ever consider letting drive a delivery truck, let alone operate a wagon to make their deliveries. These guys legit just drive down the middle of the road and go 10 over the speed limit on icy and snowy roads the fucking idiots.
