EU bball.tf servers have been down for months now, but ya either bball or DM would be nice

OK I'll go for bball as it seems to be completely lacking. Now I just have to figure out how to configure it

Comp.tf says that NA respawns are 2 second and EU suffers a 6 second wait. You want NA or is even that too slow?

nah use instant, you also need spec_freeze_time 0 to disable freezecams which slow down respawns

We seem to have had a successful test and there's no problems with server load so I'll get this added up to the server list as soon as I can find someone to do it

For some unfathomable reason adding a bball server to the server list is not a top tftv priority, so until it's listed on the server page you can jump on it from here

what you are calling instant spawn is 2 second spawn, its measured from the moment you die. true insta spawn is different (and isn't good for bball).
6 second spawn is how long it takes with default freezecam, and its pretty much for nubs. don't ask me why some EU servers used it, but it's 2017, I don't think anyone wants to play that.

ctf_ballin_skyfall is the best map imo (reskins with proper dimensions, increased skybox, and no fall rim are ok)

Me and a few friends joined it (5 total people) and then we got to play for about 2 mins before we all timed out. Don't know what caused it because we just played normally. We also had 2x more ping than normal to french servers.

I think I've got it on the 2 seconds respawn, as short as possible without an insta respawn plugin.

The map is bball_tf_v2 but I'll change it if I get feedback asking for it

I had a look a few minutes ago and the console was spewing weird messages which might have caused it although it might be in a data center that's bad for game servers, I've restarted it. Probably need to set up a regular restart job

This has been running for a few days and seems to be working OK, if it's up to scratch I can open a couple more TF2 servers on the same box. I was thinking maybe a 2nd bball server with a different map and a DM server but I'm open to requests

If it's actually a completely crap server you can let me know about that as well

this would actually be quite nice, there are literally no 24 slot rotation servers anymore. It's either 24/7 and/or 32 slot

I've put up another bball server with ctf_ballin_sky to see if people prefer it. For now you can connect from here. Should be added to the tftv server list soon. Everything appears to be good to me but let me know if you come across any problem.
