New mouse from Logitech, pretty much a G100s on steroids.

You can get a detailed review of it already by Ino here

This looks really fucking good. Glad that it doesn't resembles a transformers penis.

Updated the link to actually go to the review.

Damn just when I get my G100s, this comes out -.- Those side buttons look really good and if the switches dont go out in 1 year like the G100s, this should be an amazing mouse.

After using the G502's dual scrollwheel, I don't think I can go back to a non hyper fast scrollwheel mouse. It may have extra buttons, but you don't have to program them at all if you don't need them. If I was rich i'll go with the G900 because of the design that good for the hand and doesn't have the weight tuning gimmik. My G502 is still going strong after years of work.

Now if only they would be like zowie and get rid of silly gimmicks like 16.8 million colors. That is more possible colors than the eye can even tell the difference of. (Most likely, I am not a eye scientist or anything so I cant say for sure.)

True, price in retail should drop quite a bit compared to Logitech's online store though. At least that's how it went with all the previous mice.
But I guess I can't complain, getting it for free and all.

At least with Logitech you can turn off the LEDs if you like. It's not like they make up that much weight, the LED assembly is 1.8g and the light piece might be another 2g extra to a regular shell.

I prefer this over the EC style where you have a glowing mouse wheel and can't turn it off.

I'd argue that the few grams of extra weight for a mouse that is tailored for the competitive market is meaningful. That is unless they wanted to make the mouse exactly 83g.

I wish I could have bought this instead of the g502, but I can't really complain as it's served me pretty well. This new mouse will probably be my next one, though.

I've been looking to try out a new mouse. Gonna wait and see the reviews to decide between this or the nexus revel.

i've had a g100s for 3 years and I love it for the most part, but good lord the DPI switch (which this mouse also has) is annoying. it doesn't always work anymore, so every time I accidentally press it i have to press it a trillion times while moving my mouse around like an idiot until i get the right DPI

Is this essentially the g303 with a better shell? I hope it doesn't have the god-awful cable braid as the g303, if you cut off the cable braid, it looks like a really good mouse.

You will be able to use custom cables on it, so that is a big plus

Fuckin ace

My only REAL problem with my g303 is the cable feels so heavy when I pick up my mouse. It's only exacerbated by the fact that I use a really low sens + dpi so I have to pick it up A LOT

I'd argue that the few grams of extra weight for a mouse that is tailored for the competitive market is meaningful. That is unless they wanted to make the mouse exactly 83g.

Main reason is that it needs to be marketable to the general consumer too I guess. If it had no braided cable and no LED the user reviews would be full of people saying "this is cheap, no braided cable, no cool lights, doesn't fit my fancy build" etc.
Even as it is now it's probably still a gamble for Logitech where one can only hope it sells well so they make more mice in that market segment again.

AvastI've been looking to try out a new mouse. Gonna wait and see the reviews to decide between this or the nexus revel.

The Revel is fine, but seems to have some quality control troubles. My unit didn't have these. Only thing that I disliked with the Revel is the mouse feet because they scratch on my pad. And the buttons aren't as good as the PGM of course, but they're alright imo.
If you want to decide between these two I'd go by the shape, take which one you prefer.
Also the Revel is much more reasonably priced if that is a factor.

This looks awesome, first time I've been excited for a new mouse in a while. I wanted to love the G303 so much more but it just felt so un-natural to hold for me (personal gripe of course). The g303 sensor in a G100 series shell should be a winner - gonna bite the bullet and pre-order. I'll let you know my thoughts once it arrives.

Bumping because I just got mine and I really like it a lot, probably my new daily driver.

If anyone has a Ninox Aurora this mouse feels very similar to me (shape/size, lightness, scroll wheel) except better in every possible way. The clicks are like a slightly stiffer version of the G303 clicks and feel great to me, as did the G303's. The sensor is perfect obviously and the mouse feels quite light and glides very well on my pad compared to others. I have decently small hands and finger tip grip on the G Pro feels much better than any other mouse I have. It feels like I can make very small aim adjustments, like in CS, quite well

My only gripe is that the cable feels kinda stiff, but it's not a big deal. It's more expensive than I expected as well but it's definitely the best mouse I've used.
