I think last time ESEA considered merging divisions they were either going to cut Invite or both Invite and IM. Although that was back when TF2 Invite had a LAN so that was probably why they were going to cut Invite first instead of IM.

trippait doesn't make a difference whether you add 4 new bottom of the barrel teams to the division. none of the teams that aren't getting moved up are good enough to even make a dent in mid IM; I think they would be much better off in open

While I personally feel the move ups would develop faster and possibly be able to compete with mid IM as the season progressed if they were in IM. I can see where you're coming from, so to each his own.

Tery_SYOPS is dead / inactive according to the team page.

At this rate, with so many question marks, merging IM and Open would seem the more likely option than moving up 16 Open rosters, since so few of the playoff teams even returning. That would be devastating and hopefully doesn't come to that.

Lmao, totally ignored the first paragraph on their team page. Simply saw "S22-Int Roster: (tbd)". Goes to show the importance of reading.

I dont think merging IM and open is the more likely option though, regardless of the move up (which tri did say they were considering) or not, both IM and open have enough teams to be good divisions on their own.

Just to be clear, there are a few rosters I have my eyes on and it partially depends on who I pick up, but if anyone has a roster that they ain't using + 2 people to fill in for a few games I would GREATLY appreciate it

I'm sure some payment scheme that doesn't involve you getting dicked over by premium/league fees could be arranged as well

How are tf2 players so fucking terrible at staying together for more than one season? It never ceased to boggle my mind. Everyone is just certain they are better than their entire team somehow.

NA CS is the same way, there's a massive shuffle every season and it's lucky if ANY team has the same lineup 2 seasons straight.

maybe that's why theyre shit :p

Seems to me the only really great teams that have won anything special were those that stuck around for a long time. EU blew ass at insomnia so many times because of their shifting rosters while NA had steady teams like froyo and mix^.

Now though it seems like a shitshow and it's hard to know whether shifting rosters all the time is better than just keeping your full 6. The only time I can see it working out better is when the team stops wanting to put practice time in like froyo did, but then again that's more of killing a team than having a roster shakeup. Pretty much what epsi, mix^ and iM did after. People revere a team like mix^ that can constantly make playoffs and top 2 with barely any practice but that's really what having a stable roster does for you I believe.

I'm gunna go out on a limb here and say that shuffling is making teams a hole lot weaker. We'll be able to judge a little watching 8K vs. bird noises this season I suppose, however bn will most likely put in like quintuple the amount of hours so it may not be a real comparison. Invite will continue to be ass if everyone keeps shuffling!
