I'm homophobic, but I support gay marriage. Hilary in a nutshell

I'm homophobic and I say burn the gays.

Idk where I'm going with this.

Agreed Hilary is a liar and an awful human being. She is basically a puppet and will say whatever "they" want her to say, if you vote for her you are going against freedom and honesty. This is why you need to vote for Trump, he is absolutely the best man for the job and since Bernie is out, he is the one to vote for. He is gonna make America rich again, he's going to keep the criminals and terrorists out of America and make it a safer place for everyone. Trump is the only one who can sort out Americas problems and he is the only one who will do something about the real problems people never talk about. A vote for Trump is a vote for the future and prosperity of America.

sheepy_dogs_handI also think i'm getting too much attention by people which is what I ultimately want (not enough attention when a child or something). Part of the reason i make awful posts or post really controversial opinions is so I can get attention and stand out. Sometimes my posts are genuine and it's just me having a different opinion but other times it's me just wanting people to argue with me.

I don't understand how anyone would ever vote for Hillary. Her record is atrocious, and she is the most two faced politician I ever seen. There's so much to say about her that I don't even know where to start. I'm not advocating trump because i know exactly where that'll get me, but please don't go out and vote for hillary in the primary

also can we have an actual thread where we talk about politics instead of complaining about sheepy

complaining every time he posts is just as immature as him posting himself. he's gonna make his posts, and you guys aren't gonna stop it. the only purpose whining about it serves is to farm yourself internet points
e: it also gives him the attention he wants

I'm not voting for her, and I should know better than being pulled into talking about politics on the internet, but here it goes. An "atrocious record" depends more on your own political views than the record itself. In 2008 HRC ran to the left of Barrack Obama on both policy and record, but her message was ignored in favour of Obama's cross-cutting narrative. If you compare her record in the Senate to her Democrat peers, she was ranked as "more liberal" than 85% of Democrats. Despite this, right now she's being derided as a corrupt centrist politician mainly because of who she's running against, not her actual record. If you're sitting to the left of her (as many Internet users are), then sure, that critique makes sense. But at that point you're sitting to the left of the vast, vast majority of American politicians and you can't reasonably expect a politician to support your viewpoints at the expense of large swathes of the American electorate.

As for the "two-faced," I'm actually a huge fan of what most people regard as hypocrisy or "two-faced-ness" in politics. I've long been of the belief that America's problems are complex and nuanced, and simply trying to force the same policies in every situation and ignoring the nuance, reeks of political expediency to me over practical governance. I work in the solar energy field currently, and while this field is filled with the types who traditionally would support Bernie, as a whole the industry is more in favour of HRC due to the fact that she explains her policies in greater detail. My boss recently published an op-ed on this point, essentially boiling it down to the fact that Bernie might seem to have greater support for solar energy, but he hasn't necessarily gone into depth on how he thinks residential solar ITC should scale over time. With Clinton, the industry might not agree with all of her viewpoints, but she has explained them in detail and we can reliably predict how her administration would respond on the more bureaucratic decisions that make up the meat and potatoes of energy policy. We believe that she came to her stances through the careful study of the industry and what the American population wants, rather than just the general "clean energy is the future!" circlejerk. This gets her panned by a lot of people for refusing to give a simple answer, but as someone who is a little scared of simple answers, I can appreciate it even if I personally disagree with the specifics of her decisions anyways.

I fully realize that this is going to boil down to calling people shills, Bernie bros, fascists, racists, and the like, but I don't particularly like when people out of hand dismiss the politics of any candidate and their supporters through name-calling, be that politician be Trump, Clinton, Sanders, Cruz, or whoever else you may think of. I wish people put more thought into why their political opponents have different beliefs rather than just dismissing them out of hand.

yeah it's like people expect everyone to have the exact same consistent views throughout ever-changing political circumstances

sure being an honest, steadfast politician is a bonus but you can't expect people's opinions on issues to never change ever that's ridiculous

(there is a difference between this and being super flipsy-flopsy on stuff though)
