It really is quite hilarious to see that after some years you now came to realize that this applies when it seemed it didn´t when your girlfriend wanted to actually play soldier for the national team for germany back in the days ( which you wanted too :D ). I do understand that you have a personal bias on that topic and that you are pussy whipped but what I would want you to do is stop being a hypocrite.

Raptor isn´t a medic that was born into greatness but has immense potenial to be on of the top five medics in EU TF2 in < 1 year. He´s already shown that he has improved and tthat he has the right mindset to be able to handle top tier tf2. The problem that he is facing at this moment of his career is a very common that has to do with our very little player base at the top. Whilst he is very keen to "relearn" the game from higher skilled players those players in his team are now people like sheepy and zoob. Sheepy was never known for his great insight in TF2 whilst having major personality issues and his pocket says 10 words a minute. If you add to this that his demoman is the worst in premiership you could say that the conditions are neither perfect nor good. What would need to happen is for an already existing premiership team to pick up Raptor and make him not maincall.

Let him develop within the team and find his role which would result in him not trying to be or even having to be (?) the maincaller with very limited experience in his current competitve sourrounding. It makes more sense to me to try to develop a player and make him your perfect medic bitch boy instead of cutting people due to performance issues within a team that will or will have to reform itself every season.

I would recommend everyone that is trying to form a good new team contesting low to mid prem but def winning high to pick up raptor ( pls dont pick him up on soldier - we need medics!) , put some effort into him and you will have a benefit in the long run. At the end of the day you can say that medic is the class where the smallest mistakes are the most punishable and influencial and thats why Raptor looks kind of shaky at times. Remember ,a fish rots from the head down.

edit: I´ve cut people in the past and in teams I´ve led always and only for the reason of not showing the right ammount of effort. I´ve spent countless hours with maindemos, medics, roamers going over their demos - drawing ms paint cp_badlands last holds for people that didn´t speak english well enough so I am not talking nonsense when I am saying that you can mold players arround your team. More than often it comes down if the team is willing to put in the effort

Im no the one in here telling people what improvement means and why effort doesnt mean they will ever become good :D Stefan it really is you not being and adult and having a go on matter you actually know very little about ( playing with or against Raptor). holy shit german drama

+1 to ipz honestly. There are 3 completely unproven players in planet express all playing in/around the combo, the only experienced head there is not particularly vocal so I have no idea how they expected to see real results this fast. Team got completely carried away with some promising scrim results, and are now learning the hard way that scrims are just scrims. Since Nursey is available this might actually work in the short term now, but it's pure dumb luck since this became apparent after the fact. The team + raptor had a lot of promise as it was, just needed more patience and modesty.

How dare you! This is completely untrue. I find it offensive that you would say something like that. I mean zoob says at least 20 words a minute not 10.

Also it's fair enough that you think I have some "major personality" if you judge by idiot forum posts and maybe my attitude when I was 15. I like to think i'm quite calm and pleasant in game nowadays though and you could probably ask about this to anyone who has played with me recently. I personally don't think raptor is a bad medic apart from being unable to right click sometimes. He just didn't fit in well with the players we have around the combo. I play around the flank on this team so I am usually ok with any medic from my point of view but like kaidus said raptor just didn't work well with our combo classes and it was causing a lot of atmosphere and gameplay issues so I really think that cutting him was the only thing I could do to keep the team going.

Also come back to TF2 already ipz bby

Sheepy,I understand and respect your decision of cutting Raptor, those kind of steps are sometimes neccesary and also dont only potencially get rid of a weak link but influence the teams moral. - of course it's excellent if there is a person who wants to improve but that does not mean he (really) improves. just wanted to make it clear. you are right, i haven't played with or against raptor and that's why i did not say that he hasn't improved so far.

- again speaking in general. a player should not put time and effort into trying to improve if he thinks he has improved. a player who wants to become better SHOULD put some effort/time into it. for the best effect: ask your teammates if they would like to watch a demo TOGETHER.

- sheepy is the leader and that's the reason he told raptor that he is cut. in his private chat you can clearly see that he was pretty friendly.

who cares about the conditions if there are people who just do not want to play with raptor as med?
it's a team and the members should be like a "little" family (a friendly family though! :D).

common on the continent; I learned four Languages from 2 to 8 years, French, Dutch, English and German, at least we didnt had to learn Greek or Latin like some courses still do mandatory.

I (and a year above or below I forget) was personally forced to take French into year 10 and 11 as a GCSE but that isnt applied anymore. So in the UK everyone from year 7-9 undertakes a language and can optionally take it in year 10 and 11. But it isnt really learning a language, we memorise a script abut two sides of A4 (four different ones) and speak it back and we pass.
