I'm thinking of purchasing it while it's on super-cheap-sale-price-thing.

Anyone own it? Is it good? How hard of an adjustment will it be from a steelseries QcK?

Only 12" tall seems a bit too skinny IMO

I've used this thing for a really long time, I've been really satisfied with it.

from an amazon review I left on this mouse pad about 1 year ago.

perixx DX-1000XXL, apart from its sharp edges that wear out with time it feels pretty muck like the qck and ive been using it for 5 months now and still feels new, i like the qck too but theres no denying that with time they deteriorate a lot

i'm not sure you really want/need it that big.
here's a potator pic i made a while ago of the XXXXL, which is 1200 x 600 or 47.2" x 23.6":

http://i.imgur.com/9kTxM9R.jpg

(orange area is about 50cm x 40cm, or 19.7" x 15.7")

as you can see, i might as well have gotten a smaller one, since now a portion of the mat isn't really utilized.
it's very comfortable, though! so if you have enough deskspace, i'd definitely recommend a big mat.
