So I recently came back from a vacation and (maybe because of an update that happened while I was gone?) anything that is aliased or any exec commands in my autoexec aren't working. I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem.

is your config in tf/custom/foldername or tf/cfg? The one in custom will load first and steam cloud might be messing with things if its in tf/cfg

You can.
Folder structure would be
tf -> custom -> config's name -> cfg -> content

copy paste your stuff from the old autoexec to a new one and make sure it's placed like this
steamapps > common > team fortress 2 > tf > cfg

Check if the file extension is .cfg and not something like .txt, there's a way to enable it with some settings in windows

So it seems recreating the file works for now. Really don't understand why this messed up to begin with but whatever.
