Turinbackwards country?

glad you aren't living in any sharia law nation

or the nations where ebola is still a fucking epidemic

or any middle eastern nation

or anything other than rich in india or anywhere in africa

fuck off you retard

Just because America isn't a literal dystopian shithole doesn't mean it can't be backwards. Oh cool, we suck less than some fucking war torn desert nation where you get your head chopped off if you get caught masturbating that's something to be proud of.

trying to play the blame game or whatever isn't helpful. Just because things aren't as shitty as possible doesnt mean they couldnt be better.

I think America is still a literal dystopian shit hole, just a different variety of one. And one that's more comfortable to live in, at least.

It's just more cyberpunky, with the NSA and shit.

America really is a shite hole. The other day I went to my favorite cafe to sip a double mocha latte while coding, when all the outlets were used up so I had to go to the library. Then while in the library a bunch of homeless people were acting like idiots which resulted in a super hot asian girl stealing my lap top... FML :((((.

Also I did some legal research and this guy got off light, In most states it is punishable by death for being a massive nerd.

"operated in a hidden part of the Internet sometimes known as the dark web, which allowed deals to be made anonymously and out of the reach of law enforcement"
I'm assuming this literally just means traffic is encrypted or does this work in some other way?

You can access the dark web by using the software Tor. The dark web cannot be accessed by using search engines like google or bing.

loljkThat wired article becomes hilarious if you replace every mention of "Silk Road" with "TF.TV" and replace "DPR" with "Enigma".

Try "ESEA" and "lpkane".

The real problem was the lack of regulation in the financial district witch led to the mass giving of un-payed loans and the selling of them. The truth is the lack of government regulation was the problem. You cant blame businesses for abusing loopholes. You blame government for not fixing them. The financial crash was the result of various stock markets attempting to lure in more investors by creating an every more de-regulated market. Every moment regulating less and less. Truth is the real problem is american politicians not having an opportunity to win an election unless they take money from large corporations to win the. In other words in politicians don't need to take large sums of money from companies to win election they will pass legislation to stop large businesses exploited tactics.

TLDR don't blame banks for using sketchy ways to make money, people will always do that. Its the govt job to regulate the banks.

I don't think america is flawless. It's got tons of issues, but it's not backwards. If america is backwards, then what the fuck is 75% of the world? It's still one of the better countries to live in, but it needs some MAJOR political and economic changes.

It is getting worst according to economic stats because your middle class is shrinking more and more.

Rich have more at the top 15% and there is more poor people.

As you said, need a MAJOR political and economic change to make it go better.

Is it a tendency over the last 15 years not only in America, but i haven't check stats in Europe.

I just dont understand why the government makes such a big deal out of drug usage. The drugs arent directly affecting anyone besides the user (aside from od's) so why should i care that the next person might be doing drugs. Im not a big drug user i just dont get why so many people are obsessed with what other people are doing with their lives.

Decriminalize ALL drugs. Spend the money on centers for drug addicts instead of catching dealers and users and putting them in jail. Start treating addiction as a health issue. Stop wasting money on teenagers with weed. Reduce deaths from Ecstasy pills by making it pure mdma at the correct dose. Open centers for opiate addicts with pure heroin, morphine ect so no one will die from opiate overdoses as well (opiates aren't very harmful at the correct dose. The problem is you never know what you are actually getting and how strong it is).

People will always be ignorant about these things so this won't happen. Hopefully in the future people will realize this.

I'd say treat them like alcohol. If you're driving under the influence of drugs, you should still be committing a crime. Just the same as like robbing a place while high, it should be the same as robbing a place while drunk.

I think we are going into an age where kids are shaping their values from the Internet, because of it being such a open andainviting platform for friendship and formal human bonding experiences (not) ; such a sentence is justified to deter anybody else from cascading crimes via technology. Like punitive damages, but for a law system I imagine.

I also want to add how stupid it is that they are putting resources into catching drug addicts (who need help) and people who want to party on the dark net who aren't really hurting anyone but themselves while the dark net is full of child pornographers who keep innocent children as slaves and then abuse them until they are too old and finished with them so a lot of the time they end up killing them just so some random pedophiles can jack off to it (people don't want to hear things like this but its happening everyday). Its fucking bullshit that they are wasting resources and money on drug market places when they could use it to be saving children.

This is the utopic dream that will eventually come true some day when reason and science triumphs over greed and backward mindsets.

Portugal took a valiant effort that showed the world how the current drug policies are a joke that don't favor anyone, we still have a long way to go, but I just hope this progress continues and keeps spreading all over the world.

i disagree with blaming the seller of drugs for the OD of someone..
it's the user who uses, and that user always had the choice to not buy or to not use.
it's not like he/she was actually forced to use anything.
people just want to blame someone because it's the easier way of coping.

and don't get me wrong, i'm not defending this guy. i just think it's ridiculous to point fingers at some dealer because someone dies after consciously making the choice of consuming something that could potentially kill him/her.
it's like blaming mcdonalds, or some major tabacco company for your failing heart. the choice to not consume is always there.

and +1 to Sheepylol. this "war on drugs" is quite petty. the us has plenty of things to like, but that's not one of them.
and i see people in this thread defending the us, and they are absolutely right when they say that it certainly isn't the worst country to live in, but i would say it's not quite among the best.
again, don't take me wrong; drugs (and 'the world around drugs') is definitely not something that should be ignored.
'fighting' it, however, is certainly not going to work.
and please don't feel offended because i have absolutely nothing against you personally, as an american. i just don't see a point in not admitting that it's not among the best countries in the world.
