NOTE: In an effort to remove dead or inactive teams before the regular season begins, teams who forfeit all of their preseason matches will not be automatically scheduled week 1 regular season matches without contacting CEVO Support to confirm their team status.

How many people played preseason matches before?

Thanks Alkaline! We really appreciate the support. We're going to do our best to continue to improve CEVO TF2 this season, and hopefully we'll have a few more broadcasts available for you to watch :)

Oh man, I wonder how many people are going to get angry that their potential deciding playoffs match will be on logjam, Week 9

When will the season start exactly? The website says pre-season is from "Nov 13th - Nov 20th" but registration ends Nov 23rd. Or are these dates TBD?

Didn't play CEVO last season but am interested this season and not sure exactly how this goes.

You can sign up after preseason, a bunch of teams did it in Season 4 from what I remember

last season if you joined the league late you would have make up matches against other teams that registered late or teams that got ffw's for the first few weeks. If a make up match couldnt be found, you would get a ffl. not sure if they're changing that policy for next season

KairuOh man, I wonder how many people are going to get angry that their potential deciding playoffs match will be on logjam, Week 9

Logjam is only for CEVO-P, and having it towards the end of the season is likely better than the beginning of the season. It'll give teams more time to get familiar with the map. Plus, blaming a team's LAN-deciding fate on Logjam is really just an excuse to me. Blaming it on the last map is not very rational when your team could have certainly traced back to playing better on other maps earlier in the season.

Moving Logjam to a different week also wouldn't be wise, because then the CEVO-P teams would be on a totally different map rotation than the CEVO-Open teams.

But again, it's only for CEVO-P this season. Depending on the feedback, it's possible that it could make it into the normal map rotation next season.

You might have to click on "Regular Season" for the schedule to drop down, but the first regular season game starts on Tuesday, December 2nd.

There's a good chance we'll get a second scheduler just for CEVO.

thorn_How do we apply for Cevo-P?

You don't. You either get far enough in the playoffs in the division below it, or you join a team or hijack the roster of one that's already in CEVO-P.

Edit: There's a placement tournament, forgot about that. You still have to be invited first apparently.

So should I make an open roster for now until the placement tournament? If anyone has a roster we could hijack that would be cool too, although I've already been screwed over by roster hijack rules.

Make a roster in Open in the meantime, but we'll be releasing more information about the CEVO-P Placement Tournament and how invites will be determined early next week.

Hey, if CEVO needs casters, I've been dying to get into the casting scene. Just message me on steam how to get ahold of people to start casting.

CEVO seems to be dead. I'm not happy about that but it is what it is. We would have been into this season already right now but there's only 2 teams readied up. Most either don't have six, aren't paid, or both. I'd like to hear something from the officials about this so I can have a better idea about the immediate future. What of the paid league fees? What of the prizepot (from last season's league fees), etc?

After an incredibly low turnout during this season's registration period (~20 payments), we've decided to cancel Season 6 of TF2 @ CEVO. We are in the process of refunding everyone who paid an entry fee or made a donation to our prize pool.

If there's any interest in CEVO TF2 in 2015, we may run some smaller TF2 tournaments along side our standard seasonal events in other games.

Thanks,
CEVO|Pipher

Don't feel too bad pipher, it was a decent shot. Our community is just too small to play two leagues and the majority of us are just used to esea.

yeah its upsetting but the only reason we played cevo was because we were unhappy with esea, not becuase we loved cevo

not dissing on either party though, thats simply the reason why half the community switched.

Why not just push it back til january. Esea does the OH NO PAY UP HURRY NOW. Then 2/3 week extension, which generally, we've become accustomed to. To be honest, I didn't even realize signups ended until just now, and had intended on playing.

CEVO Season 6 has already begun for their other games. I don't think they'd be able to start TF2 late because everything would be out of sync, especially when it comes to the CEVO-P LAN.
