Fps maxed at 60

Since the 9/10/14 update my fps have been maxed out at 60fps. My fps_max is 0 and i haven't changed any internal settings.
I feel like this could be caused by my autoexec, although i didn't change anything about it, but i wouldn't know what to change.

If any of you is having the same problem or is familiar with it, could someone help me out? 60fps isn't a huge deal but it does make the game less pleasant to play.

_KermitSure v-sync is off?

It's off, checked everything that could be able to cause it, so posting this is my last resort

Finally, someone else who has the same problem as me.

Do you play on a mac? I'm on mac and I believe the fps cap is due to the update's change in the way tf2 is ran on osx. If you noticed already, the game now boots into a separate space/screen, making alt tabbing easier but problems like ours. I've added you on steam to discuss more.

A friend of mine has had the exact same issue before. He fixed it by switching from full screen to windowed. If windowed, try full.

Doesn't matter for me, 60 fps on both fullscreen and windowed.

Hate to bump, but has there been any sort of fix for this? I'm playing on a Mac and I'd like to be able to get back to my precious 121.

He would probably notice if VSync was on, it usually causes I/O lag

What operating system are you on?

Also what are your hardware specs.

Update: I just upgraded to OS X Yosemite. I had some TF2 issues after the upgrade (connecting to a server would crash my game), this was fixed by reinstalling (validating cache didn't work). However, as soon as I got in a game, I found that my fps was back at normal and no longer capped at 60.

Yes, most of us have known for a while now since yosemite released weeks ago.

I should have posted it when I learned of it, sorry.
