I really hope Germany wins this year, they are one of the teams that do deserve it. It was amazing in 2010 when Argentina was talking shit then got 4-0ed by Germany.

Germany has two major issues.

Lack of a striker: Mario Gomez is no longer the favored number 9 for the Germans, I believe partly for his performance in Euro 2012 and last season for Bayern. I don't watch any Italian football, so I don't know how he has been doing at Fiorentina this season.

Their alternatives? Schurrle or Muller up top, neither of which are natural strikers. Can't speak much for Muller, but Schurrle has played up top for Germany before (I believe scoring a hat-trick a few months back in a friendly?) But, this season at Chelsea, we've played Schurrle twice at striker (Man United in August, and in the first leg of the CL Quarterfinal vs PSG), both times he's accomplished very little. Schurrle is fantastic out wide, but does not have the presence in the box a striker needs.

Also, Germany has had difficult with their centerbacks in the past. I believe their favored centerback pairing recently has been Mats Hummels w/ Jerome Boateng or Per Mertesacker. In the Euro 2012 semifinal vs Italy, Germany's centerbacks very extremely poor. At the time, the pairing was Hummels/Badstuber, but they looked extremely square the entire game. It was so easy for Italy to get behind with diagonal runs and they absolutely tore the German back four apart.

With that being said, Eden Hazard to lead Belgium to the WC Final. :D

As long as we go further than Japan I'll be happy.

I want Belgium to win, but I think it'll just end up being Spain again.

AyRcookieMessi is shit without Xavi and Iniesta! Also he used to take HGH.. lol
he took HGH cos he had an HGH deficiency, it's literally the medical treatment for it
it doesn't act as a performance enhancer when you're just bringing someone back to normal levels of it to stop all the shit that goes wrong when you don't have it
he was like 14 when he started it, and would've stopped when he finished growing (aka when the risk of developmental defects has passed) - i'm not sure what the rule is when it comes to getting a medical exception to a banned drug (aka HGH, and you can get such an exception) but he most likely hasn't needed HGH supplementation since he was like 18/19

i will agree that he's worse without xavi/iniesta but it's far from just those two that affect his play, and he's far from the only player to be affected in such a way. take any player from any of the best teams in the world and play them in a different role for a team they don't play with every day and you will see that they don't always perform as well

Okay, on top of that... He is (was?) under investigation for tax fraud... always blames his team mates/the pitch when he loses... oh and this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BnesOQTbWeQ

Being English is embarrassing and awful, so go Chile! One of the few teams who press high up the pitch and have a few really good players. Always a fun team to watch.
I think Brazil will probably win it, they have got some good results in the past 6 months or so, and made Spain look silly in the confederations cup. Can see France doing well, as they have a really easy draw and have also looked sharp in friendlies.

How's that rigged lol?

Don't look at the World Cup Rankings as a reference, their system is horrible.

Ghana will finish 3rd in the group.. USA last. ;)
