#2311 mastercomfig - fps/customization config in Customization
kelevroPirateer5kelevroExactly the same problem. In my case, this is very noticeable when i am streaming and playing competitive.

I thought the problem was in the competitive. But sometimes it happens in public too.
Sometimes "record 1; stop" helps, but only sometimes. I can't even get close to understanding the logic of the problem
MoermanI have exactly the same issue. Especially in combo with a recording software. Havent found a fix for it yet, but It doesnt sound like a cfg issue to me rn.
Do you guys use OBS and do you use Nvidia NVENC? I played for several maps today whilst only recording using ingame demos, and it wasn't nearly as bad as it usually is (with OBS recordings + tabbing out to change recording filenames). Wondering if changing to CPU-based encoding might work better or if you guys are already using CPU encoding and it's still bad? That's the only possible thing I can think of at the moment, really frustrating problem and hoping for any sort of fix

Nvidia NVENC + OBS
Have you tried playing competitive without OBS ? In my case, lags are present even without obs
I tried to delete the game completely and play with the default version. Got better. Possibly hud?

Which version of mastercomms are you guys using, and what other plugins?

Something similar to this happened to me (though I wasn't streaming at all or had obs open), so I updated everything related to my PC/TF2.

Things to make sure are fully updated:
graphic driver
mastercomms preset and addons (though for me the issue was fully fixed when I went from low to medium low)
flat textures
tf2 ultimate visual fix

You can also peek at event viewer to see if you can isolate the issue.

#1 TF: Source 2 in TF2 General Discussion

Haven't seen a thread on this yet.

Ever since Source 2 was first mentioned publicly as an engine that Valve was working on, a lot of people in the Team Fortress 2 community have started asking the question: “If Valve ever ports TF2 to Source 2, what would it look like? How different gameplay would be? And would TF2 even feel the same?”. Unfortunately, none of these questions have been answered properly up until this time.

However, something really significant has happened recently that can change that - s&box, the spiritual successor of Garry’s Mod made on the Source 2 engine, has been released as part of a dev preview to a group of community members, including ourselves. It, pretty much, like Garry’s Mod itself, allows you to build whatever you want using the toolset that it provides. So we’ve decided to not lose that chance.

We are all big TF2 fans here, most of us have sunk hundreds or even thousands hours into this game. So, we have decided that we are going to try to answer that exact question - we want to rebuild Team Fortress 2 mechanics, port all the assets from the base game to the new engine and see how different it can look and feel from the original game. This is what TF:S2 is about. Our goal is to remake, improve, iterate, and create a new Team Fortress experience on Source 2 engine using s&box.

This project is a huge undertaking, we would have to consider all nitpicks of TF2 gameplay, try to rebuild every single mechanic to feel similar to the base game, but with enough dedication, I believe that we can do it! For more information visit our about page. But for now, please take a peek at what we have been busy with for the past few months.

#97 EURO 2020 predictions in World Events
MoermanI would never want to be a defender.

Make a big mistake and the striker might score.
Touch a striker in the box and he will dive.
You can never run where you want and have to guard some players who can do whatever they want.
strikers will be heroes, defenders not so much.

Imagine having to defend Sterling when you know he will dive as soon as you touch him. And then he keeps on getting rewarded with penalties. I would turn mental if I was on the pitch

Imo diving is way too OP if in one case you get a penalty, and the other outcome is the game continueing..

A dive should be a yellow. I've seen cards given for dives before but I'm not sure how you prove that it was a dive VS an accidental stumble/loss of footing

What's the point of VAR if they don't fix ref errors like that? Blatant dive.

4hpFunny that Portugal does their best game of the cup and lose, but they weren't really looking that strong this year so screw it. Belgium has a really good chance I think.

Portugal's coach needs to get fired. You guys actually have a good squad however I feel like he's mismanaged it a bit.

#8 what's the best tf2 server provider atm? in Q/A Help

I've had Tragic Servers, serveme premium, and NFO.

- My server used to crash on a nightly basis but that was the fault of one of the plugins which I installed
- I somehow had better routing to my NFO server then to any serveme Chicago servers
- If money isn't an issue you can get Higher CPU priority, this will probably improve performance during scrim/match times

Tragic Servers
- Used to be great support (you could just add tragic and he would help you out) however now they're owned by NFO I believe

serveme (what I currently use)
- Good way to help the community
- Less customization
- Might not be able to get a server that you specifically want if it's already booked
- Cheapest option which is nice

If you chose to rent a server and have access to plugins, I recommend you keep it simple (logs/dm). If you want the best possible game play I'd recommend paying the extra $5-10/month for the extra resources.

He's a little raw in terms of experience but he comes with an open mind and willingness to listen. He'll casually drop a 40 bomb, definitely worth a tryout.
