A Great Season for AG

Not a knock on CW, Blaze, Dummy, mike, bl4nk, or anybody else on the AG roster throughout this season...

But that team was not insurmountable by any decent main team at any point during the season. If you want to win main you should be able to compete at an invite level, and the final incarnation of AG has the caliber of players you should be able to compete with - otherwise you in no way deserve to win or complain.

Sorry, I kind of lost you. Where is she being arrogant? To me, it looked like pride for the teams AG sponsored.

harbleukuzaI don't understand why anyone would view Nahanni's post as arrogant. She seems legitimately proud of the teams they sponsored this season. Maybe it's just because I like to see other people succeed, but I don't see anything wrong with it. I know some people may not like to see others succeed but I think that's maybe because of their own shortcomings. Once you reach true confidence you will never be jealous again.maybe because ag main team had 3 lan caliber invite players on it? regardless of whether they were offclassing or not, if we went to go offclass in main we wouldn't drop a more than 10 rounds. its nothing that you should be proud about. i understand clockswork's situation and don't blame them for wanting to play still in main, but it shouldn't be treated like its some huge accomplishment.

I wasn't talking about AG main at all in my post. I was just talking about the original post not being arrogant.

If you want my opinion about AG mains roster, I actually agree with you. I like to see people succeed but there are divisions for a reason, and that's to give people a chance to succeed against people their level. So hopefully the ones that worked the hardest "should" win.

I don't think anyone realizes the state this team was in prior to dummy, seymour and cw joining

it was a sandbag babe, just accept it. it's not clock/blaze/dummys fault cuz they got fucked outta invite but cutting half your roster and replacing them with top tier invite players is kind of...well....welll....................welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll ya

Yeah it's not that I don't find it a bit distasteful, but I don't generally go in for crying about the caliber of players I'm made to play against. If I can't beat them it's my fault, I don't care who it is or what their history is.

It was pretty cool to compete with and win a bunch of rounds against a team we deemed talented enough to make LAN. I thought the cutting your way to the top mentality was pretty silly, but AG certainly isn't the only team like that.

I thought personally the competition forced me to improve a bunch from the start of the season; which is always a good thing as well.

I think the only knock anyone has is the publicity of the OP. If we had won main and then I came out and posted "congrats to street hoops", it would have probably been perceived as arrogance as well!

I'm confused. Did anyone from the other top three main teams come in here to complain about AG's roster?

we literally threw a match on process week because we were all super pissed off about our metalworks week, not sure if that is the team you wanted to see in playoffs

I always thought of main as an extension of invite for players who didn't want to compete for LAN but still wanted to play high level tf2, and as a buffer zone for upcoming players to enter the next level of play. I don't really see what's wrong with invite players playing in main. It kinda sucks that the roster ended up changing so significantly but it seems unfair to bash them for being 'too good' in a division like main.

I think there's a bit of a gap between "invite players" and the level of roster AG was sporting.

Not that any of this really matters.
